This course cultivates the ability of database administrators to manage the most advanced information systems in the industry. Students will learn to back up and restore Oracle databases. Hands-on experiments will bring you experience in a real technical environment, develop basic network management skills, and simplify your responsibilities by using Oracle Recovery Manager. This course will provide a solid foundation for Oracle database administrators on Oracle network management and backup and recovery operations.
Students will learn to transfer data between databases and use utilities to perform management activities. Students will learn network concepts and configuration parameters to eliminate some common network problems. In the hands-on lab, students will learn to configure network parameters so that database clients and tools can communicate with Oracle database server.
This course also meets the requirements of providing backup and recovery technology and checking various backup, fault, restore and recovery scenarios. Students will learn backup methods based on various business requirements of mission-critical enterprises, and use various strategies and Oracle Recovery Manager to perform backup, restore and recovery operations.
