Employment prospects: One third of the students in this major choose to continue their studies, including Imperial College London, University of Pennsylvania, Tsinghua, Peking University and other top universities at home and abroad; Two-thirds of the students choose employment, and the employment units mainly include the world's top 500 biomedical enterprises such as Pfizer and GlaxoSmithKline, domestic first-class biomedical enterprises such as Shanghai Wuxi PharmaTech and Shanghai Zhijiang Biotechnology Co., Ltd., Shanghai Cancer Institute, Shanghai Center for Disease Control and Prevention and other institutions.
2. Hardware and software strength: the strength of this major is excellent, and the teacher-student ratio is close to 1: 1, among which there are more than 20 professors. Full-time teachers devote themselves to teaching. In the past five years, professional teachers have won the highest prizes in Shanghai University and Shanghai Young Teachers Competition. In terms of hardware conditions, the Life Science Building has 4000 square meters of laboratory space and a large number of sophisticated instruments and equipment, which can meet the experimental practice and study of students. In cultivating innovative talents, on the one hand, this major fully mobilizes hospital resources, and the number of innovative projects per capita ranks among the top in the school every year.
