The college was established in 1993. We now offer majors in pop singing, music performance, jazz performance, music technology, recording arts, music education, dance performance, choreography, street dance, modern dance, international standard dance, film and television performance, broadcast hosting, film and television choreography, photography art, art design, makeup modeling and art management. The college consists of pop music research institute, music media research institute and Beijing Modern Music Art Troupe.

The college covers an area of 150 mu, with a total construction area of 58,000 square meters, and has an international practice training base. It includes a 4000-square-meter studio, 350 international standard piano rooms, 16 ensemble rooms, 32 dance training halls, 6 video workstations, 8 audio workstations, 16 MIDI studios, as well as black boxes, film and television music studios, performance studios, broadcasting laboratories and double-key teaching studios. The college has established a digital music post-mixing center, a film and television program production center, a comprehensive performing arts experiment center, a comprehensive performance experiment center, a book learning center, an internship center and a network center, which has opened up a rich practice base for students. At the same time, the college held a series of large-scale cultural activities, such as Jiushu Digital Music Festival, Beijing Modern Pop Music Festival, Beijing International Drummer Festival and China Musical Development International Forum, which enriched the students' second class.

The main development strategy of our college is to position the training goal of students in the sunrise professional field, which is difficult to follow up with traditional art education and has great development prospects in China at present. Focus on the urbanization process of China and the huge gap between the rapid development of cultural industry and modern artistic talents. By broadening ideas and integrating resources, a modern art education system with vocational education and training as the main orientation has been gradually established.

At present, our college has developed into an art education institution with 20 professional disciplines, 45 professional training directions, more than 600 faculty members and more than 6,000 students. In the past six years, students in our college have won gold and silver prizes in large-scale talent shows such as Super Girl, Happy Boys, The Voice of China, Good Dance in China, Good Songs in China and The Most Beautiful Harmony, and achieved impressive results.

Our college adheres to the sustainable development strategy of private education and public education hand in hand, domestic education and foreign education cooperation, art education and science and technology education integration, vocational education and elite education complementary. At present, the off-campus learning stations and learning centers of Central Conservatory of Music, China Conservatory of Music, Communication University of China and Beijing Dance Academy are all located in our school, and they have established learning exchange platforms with Australian International Conservatory of Music and Birmingham University.
