Scogan Seafarer Training Center (WSTC) of Wuhan University of Technology is mainly engaged in the training of dangerous goods (including liquefied gas, crude oil products and chemicals) and ship maintenance. Such courses have been approved by People's Republic of China (PRC) and China Maritime Safety Administration. In addition, the center also provides various courses and English training for shipowners. In the past six years, the center has trained more than 20,000 crew members, more than half of whom work on foreign ships.
