Chengdu Railway Engineering School is the only technical secondary school for railway construction. Chengdu Railway Engineering School pays attention to skills education, and has set up specialties such as railway engineering technology, road and bridge engineering construction and engineering survey. Students arrange internships and recommend employment after graduation, and the employment rate is as high as 98%.
Chengdu Railway Engineering School was established in July, 195 1. Originally a school under the Ministry of Railways, it was placed under the territorial management of Sichuan Province in February 2000.
At present, it is the first batch of national secondary vocational education reform and development demonstration schools, national key secondary vocational schools, the only railway construction secondary vocational school in southwest China, the national training base for skilled personnel in the construction industry, the excellent demonstration site for staff education and training of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, and the staff training base of China Railway Second Bureau.
The school is located in Hong Guang Town, Pixian County, Chengdu. The campus covers an area of 173.8 mu, with a construction area of nearly 50,000 square meters. There are more than 230 faculty members and more than 5,000 registered students.
There are three-year technical secondary schools, two-year high school technical secondary schools and five-year higher vocational schools, and seven majors are set up, including railway construction and maintenance, engineering survey, housing construction, road and bridge construction, industrial and civil construction, construction machinery operation and maintenance, and machining technology, among which three majors are key majors in Sichuan Province.
The school is based in Sichuan, radiating southwest, facing the whole country and the society, recruiting high and junior high school graduates and cultivating skilled talents. While holding academic education, we should give full play to our own resource advantages and actively organize employee training and vocational skill appraisal for enterprises.
The school takes "being a man for knowledge and developing in an all-round way" as its motto, adheres to the educational goal of "putting moral education first and skills first", takes quality education as its foundation and skills training as its standard, and has formed a teaching mode of "integrating classroom teaching, practical operation and skills appraisal" and its school-running characteristics of "positive school spirit, strict teaching style and strong study style".
Since its establishment more than 60 years ago, it has trained and transported more than 20,000 secondary professionals for the railway construction of the motherland and local economic development.
