What is raw lacquer?
Natural raw lacquer is one of the native products of China, and it is known as the "Three Treasures" in China (cutting tree lacquer, silkworms spinning silk and bees making honey). From virgin forest and natural lacquer family, natural lacquer is the natural lacquer juice cut from lacquer trees artificially, and the natural lacquer juice is mainly composed of urushiol, laccase, resin and water.

History of natural raw lacquer

The history of China's discovery and use of natural lacquer can be traced back to more than 7000 BC. According to historical records, "the use of lacquer began with bamboo slips, which were used as utensils, while black lacquer was used as ritual vessels, while Yu was used as black lacquer, and Zhu was used as an internal painting."

Distribution of natural raw lacquer

The main producing areas of natural lacquer in China are Sichuan, Shaanxi, Henan, Shanxi, Gansu, Hubei, Guizhou and Yunnan provinces. Besides China, there are Japan, Korea, Laos, Vietnam, Myanmar, Thailand and Iran.
