This paper will devote itself to the interpretation of irony through the analysis of Twelfth Night. Especially the big role in comedy creation. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first part, by analyzing the use of verbal irony in Twelfth Night, shows its outstanding role in shaping the characters of the hero and heroine Viola and Ossino.
