The shortcomings of 052D are obvious, mainly limited vertical engine and single machine library. The problem of insufficient hanging hair can only be solved by "one pit and four bombs" without greatly increasing the displacement, and the insufficient anti-submarine ability brought by a single hangar can be solved by increasing the apron area, which is also the reason for the birth of 052E.
052E should be an enhanced version of positioning anti-submarine, and it will be put into mass construction later instead of 052 d. The two types of hulls are the same, and the cost of 052E will not be much higher, but the anti-submarine capability it brings will benefit China a lot.
In addition, the expansion of the Chinese fleet also requires more large destroyers. According to the development of our military aircraft carrier, it is expected to reach the scale of six aircraft carriers by 2030. According to the calculation that each aircraft carrier formation needs at least 5 frigates (2 055 ships +3 052D/E), at least 10 052E ships need to be built to meet the basic configuration. The most important thing is that China is facing enormous anti-submarine pressure. China, the United States, Japan, South Korea, India, Australia and other neighboring countries are vigorously developing submarine warfare, especially Japan, which is recognized as the strongest anti-submarine capability in East Asia. Compared with China's submarine forces, China's anti-submarine capability has been relatively weak. For warships, large anti-submarine helicopters are very important for improving anti-submarine capabilities. If the 052D can't carry the straight 20, then the 052D will be very unfavorable when fighting with the aircraft carrier in the future.
Ocean anti-submarine is the shortcoming of our navy, but in the future, the aircraft carrier formation will face the most advanced nuclear submarines and conventional submarines in the world.
