Pond sludge has always been a problem that puzzles farmers. What are the methods of dredging and disinfection in ponds?
The methods of desilting and disinfection in ponds vary according to geographical conditions. Common methods of sludge removal and disinfection are as follows.

(1) Manual dredging method: When manual dredging is adopted, the water in the pond is drained first, and the bottom of the pond is exposed to the air for several days, forming plate sludge. Use tools such as hoes and shovels to manually dig out silt. Sludge is rich in nitrogen, phosphorus and other fertilizer sources, which can be used as a substrate for planting plants, repairing and filling collapsed pond walls, and strengthening and raising ridges. When reinforcing and heightening the tank wall with mud, it is necessary to tamp and reinforce, plug all holes, and create good conditions for the storage of the tank. Artificial dredging method can find and make up for the shortage of ponds in time, but it is time-consuming and laborious, and is suitable for small pond areas.

(2) Mechanical dredging method: this method requires water dredging, that is, the water level is kept at about 10cm. Stir the bottom mud into mud with agricultural tools such as nails and hoes, and then turn on the mud suction pump (machine) to discharge the mud. In the process of desorption, it is necessary to continuously inject water into the pool, maintain a fixed water level, continuously stir the sediment into slurry, and then move the suction pump to change the suction point to achieve uniform desorption effect, but this method needs power failure protection. There is also a method of mechanical dredging, that is, draining the silt in the pond, drying it in the sun for a few days, and then directly digging it out from the bottom of the pond with heavy machinery such as forklifts and excavators. Mechanical dredging can remove silt quickly and effectively, which is suitable for large ponds.

(3) Hydraulic flushing method: After drainage, the sludge is directly impacted by the impact of the high-pressure water column generated by the pump. After several impacts, the sludge was diluted into muddy water and discharged out of the pond with the water flow. It also needs electricity and a lot of water protection, and it runs for a long time. It is suitable for small and rich ponds, but it is rarely used in actual production. If it is used in conjunction with the mud suction pump, the sludge can be directly rushed into the mud suction pump through the water column for mud suction, which can not only eliminate the artificial agitation of sand particles in the mud suction process, but also shorten the multiple washing time in the hydraulic washing process. This is an ideal rapid dredging method.

The above is the introduction of common methods of pond dredging for your understanding, learning and reference, hoping to help you.
