After hundreds of years of imperial power, the Qing Dynasty finally ended in Puyi's hands. As the last emperor of the Qing Dynasty, Puyi officially ended his rule in 19 12, but Puyi still lived in the palace. With the growth of Puyi's age, he knew that he would not stay in the palace all the time, so he decided to secretly take out the cultural relics collected in the palace to ensure his future life.
So Puyi often asked his younger brother Pu Jie to come to the palace, and used some opportunities, such as rewards, to let his younger brother take him out of the palace. For the convenience of carrying, Puyi brought some precious and light calligraphy and painting books and some porcelain, including a painting scroll 17 meters long. Puyi lived in Tianjin for some time when she moved out of the palace. In order to make a living, he sold the painting at a low price. After the founding of New China, it was sold to the National Museum by collectors at a low price.
The museum customized a showcase for the audience to enjoy the painting. There is no Gan Long in this painting, but you can see the scene welcomed by Suzhou people in it. There are incense tables outside every street shop. This painting is actually to show the preparations made by Qianlong to go to Jiangnan. In fact, at this time, Ganlong has not been to Jiangnan.
During the reign of Qianlong, he went to Jiangnan six times. Before each trip, he has to do a lot of preparations and rehearsals. There was no camera at that time, so we had to let the painter draw such a scene and present it to the emperor for acceptance. So there is no Qianlong in this painting.
