In order to respond to the call of Wuxi Municipal Party Committee Organization Department for "Dedication, Friendship, Mutual Assistance and Progress", standardize and promote youth volunteer service activities, and promote the construction of socialist spiritual civilization, the service team of Shi Huai Economic Management Office gives full play to the advantages of college students, so that students can actively participate in community activities according to the requirements of the Municipal Party Committee Organization Department. Through the introduction of my classmates, I joined the Wuxi Volunteer Group. From July to August, 2009, our college student volunteer team entered Lianxin Community of Wangzhuang Street in the new district for many times to carry out social practice activities. With the support and cooperation of community neighborhood committees, these activities were successfully completed and achieved good results. Health knowledge contest helps residents to have a better life. On July 26th, 2009, in order to further strengthen the health awareness of community residents and let them have a better life, residents' committee staff held a health knowledge contest with us. The topic of this contest is mainly about common sense of disease and disease prevention, which is simple and practical, but it has been ignored. During the competition, every resident who participated in the competition answered questions seriously, which reflected the high quality of residents in Qinghe District. After the competition, college students corrected the test papers on the spot, announced the answers on the spot, and actively answered questions from residents. At the same time, I also collected the knowledge about how to eat, and listed the foods that I can't eat together within two hours and the rescue methods. Let people pay attention to the importance of reasonable diet, and let people know that improper food collocation will not only make food lose its nutritional value, but also cause food poisoning and bring harm to people's lives. Therefore, only a reasonable diet can have a healthy body. Through this health knowledge contest, community residents learned a lot of health knowledge that they didn't know at ordinary times, noticed the health problems that they didn't notice at ordinary times, and fully affirmed this activity of our service team. Third, college students go into the community to do research and create a water-saving city with residents * * * In response to the water-saving city awarded by the Organization Department of the Municipal Party Committee, our small service team came to the community on August 9, 2009, and conducted a water-saving awareness questionnaire survey with the help of community leaders to create a water-saving city with residents. Our service team conducted a questionnaire survey on community residents' awareness of water conservation. According to the feedback from the community residents, we made statistics and analysis, and the statistical results are as follows: 96.6% of the residents have water-saving consciousness, among which 20% are workers, 20% are intellectuals, 20% are retirees, 8.3% are government workers, 6.6% are self-employed or private entrepreneurs, and the remaining 8.3% are other professionals. Among the water-saving conscious residents, 50% don't know how to save water effectively. These 50% residents only know conventional water-saving methods such as washing vegetables, cooking and washing clothes, but they don't know some scientific water-saving methods. Investigation and analysis: Through the questionnaire survey, it is found that community residents have a strong awareness of water saving, especially retirees and intellectuals, and residents have also put forward their own suggestions and requirements: I hope to publicize the scientific methods of water saving and the policies of the Organization Department of the Municipal Party Committee; I hope that we can educate children about water conservation awareness, and that this activity can be implemented and more such activities can be carried out. Through this survey, we know the expectations of the society for our college students, and also determine the direction and focus of serving the community residents. We hope to do our college students' modest contribution to the community residents and the construction of a harmonious socialist society. Actively participate in table tennis and basketball competitions in the community. From August 15 to August 16, 2009, our service team participated in the table tennis and basketball games held in the district at the invitation of the leaders of Lian Xin. In the competition, Wang Xi, the server who participated in the table tennis competition, performed well and won the first place in the women's table tennis singles.
