Table tennis has a long history in China, and it is an excellent sport that is easy to popularize and develop. It is extremely beneficial for primary school students to carry out table tennis: because playing table tennis requires hand-foot coordination, hand-eye coordination and hand-brain coordination; Need quick thinking, quick response and accurate judgment; It needs the spirit of concentration, persistence and "hard work" and teamwork, which are helpful to improve students' psychological quality and strong body consciousness; At the same time, playing table tennis is a whole-body exercise, which helps to improve students' physical quality and promote physical development. Moreover, our education target is rural children, and there is a large space for family activities. Therefore, how to carry out table tennis education activities in rural primary schools is worthy of our practice, discussion and research.
Second, research and discussion methods:
From September 2005 to 2008, according to the specific situation of our school, after full and careful consideration, the school leaders took table tennis as one of the characteristic projects of the school development. On the one hand, they began to form a school table tennis team for training, on the other hand, they popularized table tennis and table tennis culture in the whole school, and studied and discussed it step by step with practical methods.
Third, the specific methods and measures:
1. The objectives, contents and requirements of the research on table tennis educational activities;
(1) goal:
Cultivate students' interest in table tennis activities, increase students' understanding of table tennis activities, develop students' ability to table tennis activities, and form students' good fitness habits and lifelong fitness consciousness.
(2) Contents:
Table tennis basic knowledge activities, table tennis basic teaching activities, table tennis art activities (table tennis school-based textbooks for grades one to five), table tennis game activities (table tennis gymnastics, table tennis dance, etc. ), table tennis stories (children's songs) activities, etc.
(3) Requirements:
Have a preliminary knowledge of table tennis, be able to tell the story of table tennis activities in short language, express their wishes and feelings, cultivate students' interest in table tennis activities, singing and dancing, be willing to participate in simple table tennis competitions, master some basic table tennis skills, like and love table tennis activities, and bring happiness through various table tennis activities.
2. The implementation of table tennis education activities:

We can make scientific choices according to the characteristics of the times and actual needs, design some contents of students' table tennis activities, and infiltrate them into subject teaching. B. Infiltrate education in daily school activities. Using daily activities on campus is an important way to educate students about table tennis. Daily activities mainly refer to scattered optional activities, such as morning activities, regional activities, game activities, free activities, physical exercise activities, outdoor sports activities and so on. Guide students to participate in table tennis activities freely and happily, so as to improve students' interest in table tennis activities and their awareness of strong physique.
3. The main methods of table tennis education activities:

2, the campus work effect:
(1) The implementation of table tennis education in schools has expanded and deepened the content of campus education. In table tennis education activities, many contents are consistent with other fields on campus. Table tennis activities and national spirit, table tennis activities and literature, music, dance and school sports are all complementary and mutually reinforcing, thus improving the quality of education and promoting campus culture.
(2) To carry out table tennis education activities, the educatees are students, and the specific undertakers, organizers and educators are teachers. Teachers must have a process of self-learning and self-improvement if they want to successfully complete this work. In the process of cultivating students' table tennis activities, one of the purposes of implementing emotional contagion Law is to require teachers, as concrete implementers, to study, practice and summarize before students, and to educate students, infect students and catalyze them with the power of "role models" to achieve the training goal. In the process of implementation, in order to better explore the role of table tennis in promoting college students' physical and mental development, we created training contents in physical fitness and skills according to the characteristics of college students' physical and mental development and the needs of table tennis. Physical training is mainly to cultivate college students' leg strength and physical agility, including sliding step, crossing step, small jumping step, small jumping step, quick start and so on. Skills mainly focus on mastering the correct basic movements and familiarity with the ball, including unarmed movements, hanging the ball, holding the ball in the air, hitting the ball against the wall and table exercises. Through the training of these projects, college students' physical quality, self-confidence, persistence, sensitivity and other psychological qualities are cultivated. After three stages of implementation, we find that if only physical training is carried out at a certain stage, college students will lose their enthusiasm for table tennis learning for a long time, while only practicing skills will make college students' development very one-sided and affect their development level. Only by implementing the above-mentioned projects step by step and combining physical training with skill training is the most effective method. Therefore, we divide each training time into two parts, the first part is physical training, and the second part is skill training. The combination of static and dynamic, alternating static and dynamic, promotes the all-round development of college students.
