[Abstract] This paper analyzes some problems existing in the teaching of operations research, discusses the teaching purpose, teaching content and teaching form of operations research, and puts forward corresponding reform ideas and measures.
Since the emergence of operations research as a discipline, especially since the 1950s, the research and practice of operations research have been deeply developed in China, playing an important role in the fields of engineering, management and economy, and gradually becoming one of the basic courses of management science, system science, information technology, engineering management, logistics management, economy and finance as a course. However, due to the comprehensiveness of operational research knowledge and the mathematical complexity of the content, the teaching of this course presents its own strong characteristics. Based on the teaching experience of more than a dozen operations research in recent years, this paper makes a superficial analysis of the teaching methods of operations research for discussion.
First of all, pay attention to its development background and practical significance of teaching.
As an applied science, operational research is different from classical disciplines such as mathematics and ordinary applied disciplines, which can be seen from its development background. The early development of operational research can be traced back to Lanchester's battle equation in military operational research put forward in 19 14, and the pioneer of queuing theory put forward by Danish engineer Erlang when he studied telephone communication system in Copenhagen Telephone Company in19/7, which was put forward in the early 1920s. The introduction of these development backgrounds will help students to play a very important role in the importance, characteristics and problem-solving ideas of this subject. Therefore, as the teaching staff of operations research course, we should not pass by in the introduction of the course, but let students know about it in the teaching process.

Cross-discipline makes operational research present the complexity of knowledge structure and thinking mode, which has both the theoretical characteristics of mathematics and the characteristics of applied disciplines, the quantitative characteristics of science and engineering disciplines, the analytical characteristics of humanities, and the pursuit of? Perfect? Pay more attention? Practical? . As a teaching teacher, we should always grasp this feature of operational research, track the development status, and pay attention to inspiring and guiding students; It is necessary to carefully distinguish the teaching objects, including both the students' academic qualifications and their majors. Students' academic qualifications are mainly reflected in knowledge content, teaching hours, teaching methods and curriculum requirements, while students' majors are mainly reflected in the differences in depth and breadth of knowledge and in theory and application. However, the characteristics of multi-branches require teachers to choose each branch in the teaching process and fully master the theory and application of this branch.

The application of case teaching and experimental teaching in operational research teaching mainly lies in the cultivation of students' comprehensive ability. ? Case teaching? On the one hand, it can play a guiding role in the teaching process of the course, which can not only make it from shallow to deep, but also stimulate students' interest in learning to a greater extent, paving the way for the next in-depth study; On the other hand, it can play a good teaching effect in the application of knowledge, which not only stimulates students' interest in the application of knowledge, but also deepens their understanding of knowledge theory. ? With the rapid development of educational technology, multimedia teaching is more and more widely used in classroom teaching, which improves the teaching quality and teaching rate to a certain extent, but it also brings corresponding disadvantages. In particular, the expansion of enrollment in colleges and universities for many years and the universal applicability of operational research courses have made most of the courses of operational research large-scale, which also prompted teachers to almost erase the use of blackboard books in order to avoid students in the back row being unclear. Therefore, under the background of large class size, the contradiction between blackboard writing and multimedia has always been a difficult problem in the teaching of operations research.
Fifth, pay attention to the research of assessment methods.
As an important link in the learning process, the design of evaluation has an important impact on the whole teaching quality. In the traditional examination methods, the mastery of knowledge points is often overemphasized, while the cultivation of application ability is neglected to some extent. So, not only should we pay attention to it in the teaching process? Case teaching? And then what? Experimental teaching? Attention should be paid to the assessment of students' practical ability, including not only their analytical ability and practical ability, but also their exploration spirit and ability. Based on this, the author thinks that in the process of operational research evaluation? Special evaluation? And then what? Research paper? It can be used as an important supplement to traditional evaluation methods.
In a word, teaching content, teaching methods, teaching media and assessment methods are all issues that teachers of operational research always need to seriously consider. Not only that, but also comprehensively consider the teaching characteristics of our own colleges and universities, especially the role of this course in the professional system, as well as the curriculum management characteristics of the teaching management department of our school.
