The Quaker's name for Sunday
Landwind (2.8T) started, followed by Land Rover, Toyota 4500, Six-cylinder Cherokee, Nissan Toure and our mini-cutter, and advanced at an average speed of 100km. Three cars from Korla and Aksu Sirius Club meet and arrive at the last gas station: Tieganrik (34th regiment) at 10 in the evening. After refueling, other teams eat in the restaurant of the 34th regiment. Because we brought a lot of food, we decided to have a picnic. Under the leadership of General Fu, we camped in Alagan village, which is more than 80 kilometers away from the 34th regiment, that is, the intersection of rivers. When we had dinner, it was already past twelve o'clock in the evening. We chatted while waiting for the army.
For a time, this barren land, which is difficult for people to see at ordinary times, boiled. 14 cars and 50 people make this place brightly lit. Because it is less than 2 18 meters away from the national highway, there are many cars walking at night. When they passed here, they obviously withdrew oil, slowed down and even braked. I don't know what happened here. Our people are very enthusiastic to help other teams set up tents. Many participants are camping for the first time and can't set up tents at all. Have a plenty of holding instructions, while watching and installing. Some of them wandered around the camp leisurely, watching the excitement … ...
Fu Qiang, the general manager, called the heads of our club together and discussed the matters needing attention and the queuing arrangement for tomorrow. After the dissolution, I immediately got into the tent to sleep. Tomorrow will be hard, so I must at least sleep. I slept in the middle of the night and woke up twice. Although it's a down sleeping bag, I'm still a little cold, but my feet are very hot and I have no dreams all night … ...
the next day
I heard someone get up before eight o'clock in the morning, talking and laughing outside. It may be that people who are camping for the first time are too excited. I can't seem to sleep. After getting up, I saw that it was bright, so I turned around and visited the newly-built "Hao toilet" on the roadside. When I came back, everyone was already having breakfast. After dinner, we quickly packed our things. At nine o'clock sharp, the whole motorcade headed for the desert.
Just not far from the national highway, I entered the desert highway, trying to drive faster and reduce the possibility of getting stuck in the car, but there were too many cars to hold back. On the first big slope of 2.5 kilometers, my car didn't get on. I wanted to let the car behind me get on first, pull it over and get stuck in a low place. So the diesel Toyota 60 rushed over, failed twice, and went up in the roar for the third time. Judging from the way that guy drives, he knows he is a reckless man. Because my car was parked near the top of the slope, there was no need to drive back, so I got on the bus with everyone's help. After a long walk, Traka in Aksu was trapped at the bottom of a slope. Boy, it took more than 20 minutes to get out and the team moved on. About 8 kilometers away, I saw many cars parked there. When I walked to the front, I saw a long and steep slope. Toyota 60 rushed down the slope at the top of my lungs, but it backed up again and again. This slope ratio is long, and it takes a certain speed to generate inertia to get up. But this old diesel car is too slow to get up, so it can't get up. Later, it was pulled up by General Fu's vehicle winch. I have observed the road surface, the hardness is ok, and the small hole should be able to rush up. So 40 meters away from the bottom of the slope, start from the second gear at a low speed, quickly change into the third gear, step on the accelerator to the end, and the small cut roared up and stopped in an empty field. Then I came back to command the other two cars.
What makes me laugh and cry is that I heard such a conversation: "Alas, this slope four-cylinder car will definitely not get on."
"My land wind is four cylinders."
"That's a diesel car, different and supercharged."
"Oh, yes."
All my four cylinders have been opened and stopped there. Old Su's six-cylinder car went up effortlessly. The car on the snowy mountain almost rushed several times. I said adjust the ignition time. As a result, the screw that should have used the English half wrench became the metric screw of 12cm, and the special tool was useless. Finally, General Fu's winch was also pulled up.
When the motorcade drove to 13.6 km, it encountered another big problem. A 45-degree slope has to turn 90 degrees to cross an already soft depression. Toyota 60 tried countless times and finally had to give up trying. Aksu's six-cylinder cutting machine failed to rush up and damaged the cross shaft of the front transmission shaft, so it had to stop at a low place with the rear drive and wait for accessories to save him. At this point, I was not in a hurry to rush up. I went to observe the line first. I saw that because the low-lying land of the run-up was too empty, the car could not improve its speed, so I chose to rush over from the hard road next to it. Although it may get stuck in the car after going up, it will come out with a push. It is impossible to push the plateau road. So I reversed, put in gear, accelerated and turned 90 degrees to the right. The car lost some power and rushed over. When the front wheel reached the top, the car stopped. Everybody come up and dig the rear wheel, and then push hard. The car in the snowy mountain feels unfavorable to accelerate. I borrowed a 12 wrench to adjust the ignition head from Toyota 60, but the distributor was found stuck during the original factory maintenance. After discussion, it was decided to put the car here, and everyone took two cars to move forward. So, we took six people in each car and went straight to the cemetery by the river.
After pushing the car once, I found that there were water drops on the ground, so I checked all the water pipes, found no problems, and the temperature was not high. I continued to move forward. After finding the water trace again, I saw a small crack on the heating pipe and was pumping out antifreeze. There is no spare pipe, so we have to clean the cracks with cloth and wrap several layers with tape. Later, no dripping phenomenon was found, and this tape really worked. I thought about it. Next time I replace the new pipeline, I will tape it before installing it, hehe.
In this way, we drove all the way. If it didn't work, we pushed down, turned over sandbags, and then pushed over and got on the bus to move on. Mr. Fu missed it because he changed the water tank of a car in Aksu. There is news from the motorcade ahead that there are two forks, and I don't know where to go. Everyone stopped in one place, waiting for the guidance of General Fu. I agree with Li Ge: In a place like this, a fork in the road leads to the same goal. Just because a road was found to be bad several times, we changed our direction, re-pressed a road, and finally wound it together. So we decided to continue to use GPS to search the location of the river cemetery.
Because the temperature of Lao Su's car is relatively high after a long period of high-speed driving, to be on the safe side, we choose to take a walk and stop for a while to cool down. When we stopped for the last time to enjoy the cool, we couldn't help but get excited when we saw the white traction room in the distant cemetery. At this point, Mr. Fu rushed over with the team and ran to the cemetery. As the general manager and the initiator of this activity, he took care of the vehicles in trouble before and after running, showing a good leadership style. I think he should have arrived first. There is no reason for us to get ahead of him.
