Zhou was born in Shanghai, 1946. 1967 graduated from the philosophy department of Peking University, 198 1 graduated from the philosophy department of the Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and is now a researcher at the Institute of Philosophy of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. He is the author of the academic monograph Nietzsche: The Turn of the Century.
