Pu 'er tea is not as old as possible. Only qualified products will change in the direction of "good" within a certain period of time under suitable storage conditions. If the quality of a tea product fails to meet the standard at the beginning, or is improperly stored in the later period, the quality of the tea product will not be good no matter how long it is stored.
Good Pu 'er tea should be stored in a dry warehouse, which means it should be stored in a dry environment to avoid moisture. Too dry environment will slow down the aging of Pu 'er tea, so there should be some moisture.
The age life of Pu 'er tea is 60 years, or 100 years, or hundreds of years. Without conclusive data, the aging degree of Pu 'er tea is often judged only by the intuition of tea tasters. For example, Fuyuan Chang and Tongqing Lao Pu 'er round tea have reached the highest point of aging, and must be sealed and preserved to avoid continuous rapid post-fermentation, resulting in the gradual disappearance of tea properties and poor taste.
