Method 1: Click the "Advanced" link on the right side of Google search engine, then find the file format item in the advanced search, select the format you need at the back, and then enter the article keywords you are looking for.

Method 2: Add "filetype:doc" directly after the keyword of the article you are looking for. (Note: Don't put double quotation marks when entering, the file type can be changed to another one. )
