A paper on the benefits of competition
Now, I will explain our views from three aspects: politics, economy and culture.

First of all, one of the goals of social development is political civilization. The basic connotation of modern political civilization is to establish a high degree of democracy and a sound legal system. First of all, how did democracy come about? Chairman Mao said: "political power comes from the barrel of a gun." The old class will not automatically withdraw from the historical stage. Our democracy today is won through competition rather than cooperation. Secondly, how to improve the legal system? It is through our constant competition with criminals that we find loopholes in the law, and then amend the law and improve the legal system.

Second, economic development is to promote social development. The competition principle tells us that the resource carrying capacity and environmental capacity of the system are constant in a certain time and space, but their distribution is uneven. Differences lead to competition and competition promotes development. Competition can allocate resources effectively. Therefore, the planned economy based on cooperation cannot lead the people of China to prosperity, but the competitive market economy makes the people of China rich. Because, oh, competition urges enterprises to continuously promote scientific and technological progress, improve management, reduce costs, improve quality and increase efficiency.

Thirdly, from a cultural point of view, competition can promote social development more than cooperation. During the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, because of competition, a hundred schools of thought contended, so at that time, a hundred schools of thought contended and the culture flourished. The progress of science and technology is the result of the competition between human beings and nature every time. Because of the competition of Nobel Prize, scientists all over the world study harder and make achievements in the field of science. Therefore, in their speeches at the Beijing Science and Technology Awards Conference and the 2004 Beijing Science and Technology Work Conference, Beijing leaders emphasized the need to enhance the sense of competition.

To sum up, we believe that competition can promote social development more than cooperation!
