The Song Background of Yimeng Mountain Minor
1940 is a hard time for War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression; Shortly after the establishment of Yimeng Anti-Japanese Base Area, Japanese invaders often "swept", and die-hards headed by Kuomintang Commissioner Zhang Liyuan often destroyed the Anti-Japanese Base Area.

They used the local reactionary force Huangsha to fight against our anti-Japanese soldiers and civilians. In order to remove the obstacles of the Anti-Japanese War, I paid the East Working Committee and the Administrative Office to do a lot of hard and meticulous political education work for the members of the Huangsha Club, but it failed because of the tight control of the reactionaries. Finally, our army had to decide to solve it by force.

1in the first ten days of June, 940, according to the order of the superior, Kang Xinsheng Branch participated in the anti-stubborn campaign in the Nanshan area of Duozhuang, Linyi District, Shandong Province. Li Lin, the general director of the school art troupe, and Ruan Ruoshan, a member of the school art troupe, were ordered by the director Yuan Chenglong, and with the help of the local Hua Gutiao, they wrote the song "Against the Yellow Sand Festival" (the predecessor of Yimeng Mountain minor) in Baishiwu Village, Feixian County.

In the political offensive stage of the anti-stubborn campaign, this song played an outstanding role in disintegrating the enemy, educating the masses and inspiring the fighting spirit of our army, and was well received by the leaders and the broad masses of the people.

Development history

After the founding of New China, revolutionary literary fighters from Bohai District composed music and finalized the sequel to Yimeng Mountain Minor. Bohai Revolutionary Literary Warriors, represented by Bohai People's Art Troupe and Bohai Military and Political Art Troupe, went deep into the masses and collected a wide range of Bohai folk music, including folk songs, folk operas and folk instrumental music, among which there were many folk tunes, including the predecessor of Yimeng Mountain Minor.

1950 In May, after the cancellation of Bohai District, the former Bohai Military and Political Art Troupe Guangzong Li, Li Ruiyun, Wang Yinquan and Wang Yinxuan were transferred to the Shandong Military Region Art Troupe. They continued to deal with folk music in their new posts and made important contributions to the stereotyped singing and popularity of Yimeng minor.

Shandong Folk Songs Collection 1957, published by Shandong People's Publishing House in June, contains Yimeng Mountain Minor collected and adapted by Guangzong Li, Li Ruiyun and Wang Yinquan. At this point, through the joint efforts of revolutionary literary and art workers in Bohai, Yimeng Mountain Minor was finally finalized.
