The method is as follows: 1. Show and hide formatting marks: In Word, click the Start tab, and then find the Show and Hide Formatting Marks button in the Paragraph group. Make sure that the button is activated to display the format label.

2. Adjust the space width: Inconsistent spaces are found to be uninterrupted spaces and narrow spaces, and you can choose to replace them with ordinary spaces. You can do this by using the Find and Replace function.

3. Clear the format: the space width is still inconsistent because of the format problem in the text. Try to select relevant paragraphs and text, and then click the Clear Format button in the Home tab to delete the format that causes the space width to change.
