In fact, Professor Xu Wenxing's contribution to the promotion of Industry-University-Research in Taiwan Province Province is not limited to making suggestions. When he was the deputy director of the Institute of Optoelectronic Research, he set up a digital camera research and development team and a color processing laboratory in 1988, which laid the foundation for the development of digital camera industry in Taiwan Province Province. 1998 Ye Derong, head of the digital camera team, is a doctoral student of Professor Xu from Tsinghua University, Taiwan Province Province. Ye Derong later founded Puli Optoelectronics, the first company in Taiwan Province Province to produce digital cameras (later merged into Hon Hai Company), which opened the era of digital camera industry in Taiwan Province Province.
