Demonstration of innovation
A great man once said, "A nation cannot develop without innovation." Yes, there is no development without innovation, but innovation cannot be separated from education. This reminds me of the current education situation in China.

As we all know, in every world Olympic Games, the athletes sent by China always live up to expectations-they won all the gold medals and silver medals, but China always missed the Nobel Prize. It stands to reason that these China athletes who won the Olympic Games should also win the Nobel Prize. Why? I think this is closely related to China's educational philosophy. In most schools in China, schools only pay attention to students' basic education, but ignore exploring the unknown cultivation. This makes middle school students' desire to explore the unknown become a fantasy. Many teachers also want to teach students innovative, open and flexible knowledge, but they are afraid to "step out of the thunder pool" and return to the "right track" when they see the "tight spell" of the exam. Many students were confused by the baton of the exam and were at a loss. This is the abnormal teaching that stifles the spirit of questioning and innovation of most students.

However, the teaching methods in the United States are quite different from those in China. In a class in the United States, when the teacher taught the students to measure the height of a building with a barometer, the teacher called the students in, not to give them a lesson, but patiently asked, "Is there any other way?" The student replied, "There are many ways. I can tie the barometer to the rope, come down from the roof and measure the length of this rope ... "I have to admire the imagination and innovation of this student. If this student appears in our country, most teachers will fly into a rage and think that this student is deliberately flattering, grandstanding and disturbing the classroom order. Because the students used methods that the teacher didn't teach. In today's highly competitive society, if we only use the "teacher-taught method" to solve problems without innovation, how can technology develop? It is said that in recent years, the country's small inventions have only transformed some blackboards and washstands. There are many reasons for this, but there must be some old-fashioned teaching methods.

An educator in our country once drew a dot on the blackboard, and then asked the elementary school students, "What is this?" Their answers are: "Mung beans, the moon, eagle eyes, table tennis, baked wheat cakes …", but when they ask primary school graduates the same question, they answer "decimal point" and "chalk point". Visible, just graduated from primary school, human precious imagination was imprisoned to this extent. This fully shows that the traditional educational system and methods in China have seriously hindered the development of innovative thinking.

In today's society, with the explosion of science and technology, the speed of knowledge updating is amazing. The competition between countries is, in the final analysis, the competition for talents. If we can't cultivate innovative talents, then we should respond to what Dr. Sun Yat-sen said: "If we fall behind, we will be beaten." To cultivate innovative talents, teachers should not only teach students knowledge, but also teach them how to discover it. As the saying goes, "it is better to teach people to fish than to teach them to fish."

To sum up, only the reform of education and the change of educational methods can cultivate truly innovative talents.
