Some punctuation usage related to brackets:
1 Generally speaking, the comma and the punishment at the end are placed outside the brackets of the parenthetical sentence:
Three of my four uncles served gloriously in the war (the other was too young to join the army).
2 If the things in brackets are complete sentences, they can have their own ending punishment:
Three of my four uncles served with honor. The other is too young to join the army. )
3 If there are question marks and exclamation marks in brackets, a punctuation mark is needed outside the last bracket:
Miranda expressed her pity with frequent sighs ("Oh, what an unfortunate day!") "Oh, dear!" "Oh, give me a break!" ) and wonder ("Ah, wonder!" "Ah, a beautiful new world!" ).
