From 65438 to 0998, Liu Junmin won the Sun Yefang Economics Prize for "From Virtual Capital to Virtual Economy". In 2000, with the support and help of Mr. Cheng Siwei, then vice chairman of the National People's Congress and a famous economist, Liu Junmin initiated the establishment of the Virtual Economy and Management Research Center of Nankai University and held the first national virtual economy seminar. Among them, Cheng Siwei is honorary director, Liu Junmin is director and Liu Xin is deputy director. Since then, under the guidance of Cheng Siwei, under the organization of Liu Junmin and others, relying on the Virtual Economy and Management Research Center of Nankai University and taking the national virtual economy seminar (every two years) as the platform, the theoretical research on virtual economy has been further promoted and gradually matured.

From 20 12 to 12, Professor Liu Junmin's "Theoretical Puzzlement of Economic Growth, Monetary Neutrality and Resource Allocation-Theoretical Construction of Virtual Economy" won the Excellent Paper Award of Political Economy Review jointly sponsored by School of Economics of China Renmin University and Editorial Department of Political Economy Review.
