2. Select a file, right-click, and select the "Properties" option in the pop-up shortcut menu.
3. In the pop-up properties dialog box, you can see that the file type is doc.
4. Click the "Change" button behind the "Open Mode" and select the word software program in the "Open Mode" window that pops up.
5. Click OK and return to the Properties dialog box. You can see that the file type has been changed to word.
6. Finally, click the OK button.
