In today's economic globalization and internationalization of competition, the main body of competition has shifted from a single enterprise to a supply chain. Workflow is the automation of business processes. Under the environment of supply chain management, the process and value chain of enterprises are gradually developing in the direction of networking and cross-organization. In the fields of management science and computer science, the research of cross-organizational workflow system is becoming a hot spot in these two fields. As far as the existing literature is concerned, there are many studies on "cross-organizational process" from the perspective of management and "software realization of workflow system" from the perspective of computer science. However, from the perspective of computer science, but without deviating from the advanced concept of management, there are few studies on realizing the development of workflow system by emphasizing the two key elements of "supply chain management environment" and "cross-organization". This paper puts the research of workflow in the management environment of supply chain, emphasizes the management concept of "cross-organization" workflow, and focuses on the problems of "role" and "interoperability". Finally, an example based on textile industry is given. Based on the characteristics of cotton spinning industry, the author selected some problems that can best highlight "supply chain", "cross-organization" and "role" to study, and on this basis, gave the solution of cross-organization workflow in cotton spinning industry.
