Comparison of bank liability under documentary collection and letter of credit
My literary talent is limited and I can't give you an answer in the form of a paper. I'll tell you some differences based on my work experience. I hope it works for you.

Responsibility of documentary collecting bank: the beneficiary will hand over the relevant documents required by the customer to the bank, and the bank will send these documents to the importer's collecting bank on behalf of the collecting bank.

Bank liability under the letter of credit: the importer opens the letter of credit with the issuing bank, and the beneficiary's bank forwards the relevant letter of credit to the beneficiary by email or original form. When the beneficiary submits all relevant documents to the bank, the bank has the responsibility to check these documents. If the beneficiary lacks documents and there are discrepancies, the bank has the responsibility to inform the beneficiary to reduce losses. If all the documents submitted are in order, the bank will express them to the issuing bank.
