"2"-the first two years mainly lay a good foundation for students, mainly studying general courses, professional basic courses and some professional backbone (elective) courses; "1"—— In the third year, students study minority languages, cultures and some professional courses in cooperative colleges in Southeast Asian countries, complete professional probation and practice, and strengthen practical teaching; "1"—— After returning to China in the fourth year, students continue to study the main courses and elective courses of related majors and complete their graduation thesis. Non-language majors should choose a first foreign language from Burmese, Thai and Vietnamese, and choose a second foreign language-English. In the four years of the whole university, we should strengthen the study of minority languages courses, so that students can become applied and bilingual talents with "major+minority languages".
Small language majors adopt "2+ N+N" talent training mode.
"2"-refers to students majoring in small languages who have studied professional basic courses and professional main courses in Yunnan Normal University in the previous two years, as well as some elective courses offered by schools and colleges; "n"-refers to the third-year students who study minority language courses in Thai cooperative colleges and complete professional practice and strengthen practical teaching; "n" —— refers to students who choose modular courses according to their personal interests and career development plans after returning to China in the fourth year, so as to obtain various vocational qualification certificates and implement the dual-certificate graduation system. During the four years of the whole university, in addition to the study of minority languages, the study of English courses has been strengthened, so that students can become compound talents of "minority languages+English+professional skills".
