First, try to reduce the text of the overview, and be specific, not comprehensive.
Second, we try to use verbs. Because verbs give readers a very intuitive impression.
Third, too long nouns should be abbreviated, so readers don't need to spend time and energy to remember some names.
Fourth, you don't need to use multiple words if you can use one word.
Fifth, try to use the active voice and reduce the passive voice. This is different from traditional academic writing. Contemporary academics pay more attention to practicality, efficiency and communication than formal orthodoxy and norms. Passive voice usually can't find the subject, which makes the meaning vague, and at the same time, because the actor of the action is placed at the back of the sentence, it increases the difficulty of reading.
Sixth, avoid duplication of meaning. Usually we don't realize it, but the words connected with and all have similar or the same meaning, so try to merge or discard some of them.
