Liaoning Translation Competition is a large-scale English, Japanese and Russian translation competition jointly organized by Liaoning Translation Society and Translator Service Co., Ltd. The first phase was officially launched on September 2, 20201day. As of February 28th, 2020, the translation was received by 132. The contestants come from 45 universities in Liaoning province, 542 universities in other provinces in China, 33 universities overseas and many people in the society.

Activity background:

In order to promote the cultivation of compound and applied translation talents, improve the quality of translation education and teaching, provide a pool of translation talents for the language service industry in Liaoning Province, and provide translation practice training platforms and opportunities for college students and translation enthusiasts from all walks of life, the Translation Society of Liaoning Province specially held the "First Translation Competition of Liaoning Province" (hereinafter referred to as the "Competition"). Competition scope:

1. Undergraduate, master and doctoral students in colleges and universities

2. Foreign language translators in institutions, scientific research, enterprises and institutions, and translation enthusiasts from all walks of life.

3. The qualification of this competition is not limited by province, nationality, age, gender and education.

Competition award setting:

This competition is divided into three groups: Chinese-English translation and English-Chinese translation, Chinese-Japanese translation and Japanese-Chinese translation, Chinese-Russian translation and Russian-Chinese translation. Participants can register for two competitions in each group or choose one of them.

Each group won the first prize 1 name, 3 second prizes and 6 third prizes, and the top 30% of individuals ranked as excellent prizes;

In addition, there will be an excellent organization award and an excellent tutor award to reward outstanding units and tutors who have made outstanding contributions to this translation contest. The specific awards are as follows:

2. The Excellence Award will be awarded with an electronic certificate stamped and certified by Liaoning Translation Society and Translated Country Translation Service Co., Ltd. ..

3. All winners will automatically enter the part-time translator pool of Translated Country Translation Service Co., Ltd. ..

4. The units with the number of applicants before 10% can get the "Excellent Organization Award of the Competition" issued by the organizing committee.

5. Awarded the "Excellent Tutor Award" to the mentor who won the first, second and third prizes.

6. Each school can set up school-level awards with more than 60 participants. You can set the first prize 1 piece, two second prizes, and the first prize participant 10% is the third prize. School-level awards are awarded with electronic certificate stamped and certified by Liaoning Translation Society and certificate of "Translator in the country where the translation takes place" (the paper certificate printed by the winner must be submitted to the School of Foreign Languages of our school for stamp certification). Players who have won provincial awards have no school-level certificates.
