Under the guidance of teachers, students can choose topics according to their own interests and specialties, and students and tutors can choose in both directions. After the instructor and the topic of thesis (design) are determined, the college will summarize the topic of graduation thesis (design) of Southwest University before the seventh week and send it to the Experimental Practice Section of the Academic Affairs Office for the record. Instruct teachers to formulate guidance plans and procedures, convey the requirements and relevant regulations of graduation thesis to students, assign tasks, and fill out the "southwest university undergraduate graduation thesis (design) task book" (hereinafter referred to as the task book). Once the task book is approved, the instructor shall not change it at will. If it needs to be changed due to special circumstances, it must be approved by the college and reported to the Academic Affairs Office for the record. 2. Topic selection requirements The topic selection of graduation thesis (design) can be divided into: engineering design, software development, product development, scientific experiment, special research, etc. The requirements for the topic selection of graduation thesis (design) are: (1) should meet the professional training objectives and reflect the basic requirements of comprehensive training. (2) Facing economic construction and society as far as possible, combining with production, scientific research, teaching reform and laboratory construction, the proportion of such topics should reach or exceed 80%. (3) the topic should have a certain amount of work and appropriate difficulty, and can be completed through hard work within the specified time. (4) Combine students' specialties and employment needs as much as possible. (5) Science and engineering majors should strictly control the proportion of summative papers. 3. Topic opening procedure According to the task book, students consult the literature, make research plans, make preliminary preparations, and then apply to the instructor for topic opening. After being approved, they will organize a topic discussion meeting within a certain range. After the tutor agrees through argumentation, he can carry out the implementation stage of graduation thesis (design).

Teachers who undertake the guidance of graduation thesis (design) independently for the first time should seriously study this regulation, and the college should appoint experienced teachers to help with the guidance and ensure the quality of graduation thesis (design). 4. Graduation thesis (design) conducted in combination with project research in off-campus units can employ personnel with intermediate titles or above as guidance. The college should appoint teaching and research personnel with intermediate or above titles to participate in the guidance work, understand and master the progress and quality of graduation thesis (design), and help solve related problems. 5. Tutor's duty (1) guides students to do a good job in the topic selection of graduation thesis (design), and understands the purpose, requirements, main contents, progress methods and workload of topic selection. The theme of college review. After the subject is determined, do a good job in data collection and preparation of design conditions, and issue a task book to students. (2) Review students' graduation thesis (design) scheme and work plan, regularly check students' work progress and quality, guide students to analyze and solve various difficult problems encountered in thesis (design) work on the basis of independent thinking, and strictly demand students. (3) Instruct students to write graduation thesis (design) correctly. (4) Evaluate the students' initial evaluation results according to the scoring system and give comments.

Through study, research and practice, deepen theory, broaden knowledge and extend professional skills. 3. You should learn to conduct research, data collection and processing according to the requirements of the topic; Special attention should be paid to collecting the latest research progress in this field abroad and making full use of computers, digital libraries and reference books; Graduation design should master the relevant engineering design procedures, methods and technical specifications, and strive to improve the ability of engineering design calculation, theoretical analysis, chart drawing and technical document writing. Special research should master the skills of experiments and tests, and improve the ability to analyze experimental results and solve problems. 4. Through the graduation thesis (design), establish a correct design idea, cultivate students' serious scientific attitude and rigorous scientific style, the spirit of unity and cooperation and professionalism. 5. Graduation thesis (design) should meet the requirements of standardization (see annex 1). 6. Students should finish their graduation thesis (design) actively and independently, and strive for innovation. We should have a scientific attitude of seeking truth from facts, and it is strictly forbidden to copy or plagiarize other people's achievements. 7. Respect teachers, obey arrangements, consciously care for teaching instruments and public facilities, persist in saving and put an end to waste. 8. Strictly observe discipline, and generally do not take time off during the thesis. Those who have to ask for leave due to special circumstances must obtain the consent of the instructor and then handle it according to the relevant regulations.
Graduation thesis (design) scores are evaluated according to five grades: excellent, good, medium, passing and failing. The defense group refers to the tutor's comments and cross-comments, and gives the paper score according to the paper defense. The final grade of students' graduation thesis is examined and approved by the defense Committee. When evaluating students' graduation thesis (design) scores, we should strictly grasp the standards, seek truth from facts, and correctly reflect students' work attitude, professional level and ability and quality. The number of "excellent" students generally does not exceed 30% of the total number of graduates in this major, and the number of "good" students generally does not exceed 50% of the total number of students in this major. The college should set up a formal graduation thesis (design) review team. Before the paper is cross-reviewed, a formal review should be conducted (see the annex for the contents and requirements of the formal review), and those who pass the formal review can participate in the review and defense. In any of the following circumstances, the graduation thesis fails: (1) The thesis (design) task is not completed as required; (2) The quality of the thesis is poor, which can't reach the level of undergraduate thesis; (3) The formal examination of graduation thesis (design) failed, and it was not revised in time as required; (4) Plagiarism and plagiarism of other people's research results. If the graduation thesis (design) fails, it should be redone, and then the corresponding certificate will be issued. Those who fail to redo or do not redo will only be issued an associate degree certificate upon graduation. Redo is arranged by the major, usually on campus, and the expenses are borne by the students themselves. Those who plagiarize or plagiarize other people's research results shall be treated as cheating in the examination, and those who violate the intellectual property protection law shall bear corresponding legal responsibilities, and the instructor shall not guide undergraduate graduation thesis within 3 years. 1. Instructor's opinion and paper grading Instructor writes comments according to students' performance during graduation thesis (design) and the quality of graduation thesis (design), and grades them according to their grades. The selection of reference items for graduation thesis (design) evaluation conforms to the professional training objectives and embodies the basic requirements of comprehensive training; The degree of integration of the project with production, scientific research, educational reform and laboratory construction; The workload and difficulty of the topic.
Ability and attitude to work, observe discipline, unite and help each other, and finish the thesis within the specified time; Literary application ability; Comprehensive application of knowledge and ability; Experimental (design) ability; Computer and foreign language application ability; Ability to analyze experimental results.
The scientificity, practicality and originality of qualitative and quantitative papers; The writing level of the thesis; The quality of illustrations (drawings); Degree of standardization of papers. 2. Cross-reviewers' opinions and papers' scores. Students' graduation thesis (design) shall be submitted to the college graduation thesis (design) defense committee two weeks before the defense. The defense committee will designate teachers (with senior titles) for cross-evaluation, and if necessary, it can hire relevant professionals from outside the school as cross-evaluation teachers. Read the teacher's comments and write them. 3. The defense of the opinions of the defense team and the results of the paper shall be presided over by the defense committee under the leadership of the competent dean. The composition of the defense Committee should be attended by teachers of professional courses and technical basic courses. The joint defense committee may decide to set up several joint defense teams to be responsible for the joint defense work of each team. The defense team consists of 3-5 members, consisting of teachers with the title of associate professor or above. At the end of the defense, the defense team will write specific defense comments according to the students' defense situation, give the paper scores according to the papers and defense situation, and refer to the opinions of tutors and cross-reviewers, and submit them to the college defense Committee for review together with the defense records. Finally, the college will uniformly announce the results to the students. Students who do graduation thesis (design) outside school go back to school for formal examination, cross-review and defense.
1. After the defense of students' graduation thesis (design), all materials (including task book, opening report, thesis (design), floppy disk, marking records, defense records, drawings, etc. ) by the college to recover (drawings and materials directly needed in production can be archived after approval), and the college data management personnel are responsible for keeping and consulting the graduation thesis (design). The college should keep students' graduation thesis (design) for a long time. The right of signature of graduation thesis belongs to the guiding unit and is the responsibility of the students. 2. Take the college as the unit, and submit the summary table of undergraduate graduation thesis (design) (see annex 1 1 for the format) and its electronic text to the Experimental Practice Section of the Academic Affairs Office from June 20th to 25th every year.
The graduation thesis (design) work of the whole school is carried out under the unified leadership of the principal in charge, and the method of graded management and graded responsibility is implemented. 1. Responsibilities of the Academic Affairs Office As the functional department of school teaching management, the Academic Affairs Office is responsible for the overall management of graduation thesis (design). (1) Review and summarize the guidance of graduation thesis (design) topic selection of teachers in various colleges (departments); (2) Organize the inspection, supervision, assessment, summary and evaluation of the graduation thesis (design) of the whole school; (3) Organizing the selection of excellent graduation thesis (design) and excellent tutor at the university level; (4) Review the names of members of the defense committee and defense team of graduation thesis (design) of each college (department); (5) Coordinate with relevant departments of the school to ensure the smooth progress of graduation thesis (design). 2. College Responsibilities Each college is responsible for the whole process management of the graduation thesis (design) of the unit. (1) Implement the school's regulations on graduation thesis (design) management, set up a graduation thesis (design) leading group, and draw up the work plan and implementation measures for graduation thesis (design) of this unit; (2) do a good job in the qualification examination and topic selection examination of graduation thesis (design) instructors, train and manage the newly appointed instructors, and study and deal with the problems in the teaching process in time; (3) Set up a hospital security committee to organize the security work of the whole hospital; (4) Do a good job in the selection of college-level excellent graduation thesis (design) and excellent tutor, and do a good job in recommending college-level excellent graduation thesis; (5) Seriously summarize, file and evaluate the graduation thesis (design).
