Starting with the history of Suzhou classical gardens, this paper analyzes the gardening nature and aesthetic characteristics of Suzhou literati gardens. The outstanding artistic achievements and great historical value of Suzhou classical gardens show the importance of protecting our Suzhou classical gardens. Combined with the development status of Suzhou classical gardens at present, this paper analyzes the problems in the development and protection of botanical gardens: traffic congestion, destruction of the surrounding environment; Uneven distribution among visitors; Tourism projects are monotonous; Unbalanced development and protection, etc. These problems have affected the healthy development of landscape architecture and need to be solved urgently.

The article thinks that the methods to solve the problem are: improving traffic conditions and broadening channels through multiple channels; Improve the external space and create a harmonious tourism atmosphere; Timely control the number of tourists and rationally allocate tourism resources; Innovative ways to increase the interest of visiting; Protect first and then develop, and realize the sustainable development of landscape resources. These measures are aimed at the problems existing in gardens. While solving the problems, we should push to increase the connection between gardens, break the unbalanced development between gardens, achieve win-win cooperation between different landscapes, create a "new pattern of tourism landscape integration" and build Suzhou into a real "garden city".
