The "twin thesis" was exposed.
Two papers pointed out by netizens, one is "Research on AIDS Behavior Intervention Model of Married Women in Rural Areas of Northern Anhui" submitted on April, 2009 10, by Hong Hang; The other is 20 1 1, "Research on AIDS Behavior Intervention Model of Rural Migrant Daughters-in-law in dangtu county" submitted by Yu Xiaodong. Both papers were compiled into the China knowledge resource database of China Knowledge Network.
These two papers are both master's degree papers, and the tutors of the two authors are the same person. In other words, they are the same disciples.
The netizen said that when he was looking for information on Wang Zhi in China, he saw two papers about AIDS behavior intervention among rural women in northern Anhui and southern Jiangsu, and wanted to know about the situation in Anhui. The result is "I didn't know it, I was shocked at first sight."
The netizen listed many similarities between the two papers, bluntly saying that the two papers "have almost the same discussion structure and many similarities in content" and "the distribution of sample characteristics is different, but the conclusions are highly consistent".
There are indeed many similarities between these two papers published two years apart. Similarities even include the whole paragraph, some paragraphs are just adjusted in order, or some keywords and data are replaced.
The research objects of the two papers have different formulations (one is "rural daughter-in-law" and the other is "rural married woman"), and the research objects are located in different regions (one is in northern Anhui and the other is in southern Anhui), and the samples are also different.
However, the two papers are surprisingly consistent in some survey conclusions. In the third chapter of Xiao Dong's thesis, "Ways to acquire AIDS prevention knowledge", the main way for rural migrant wives to acquire AIDS prevention knowledge is TV (95.5%), and other ways such as newspapers (24.7%), posters (2 1.0%), friends (20.7%) and radio (19). This is exactly the same as Hong Hang's investigation conclusion.
Replacement method of stealing beams and replacing columns
Yu Xiaodong said in the paper, "This study has established a publicity and education model that meets the needs of rural migrant wives. This model takes the wives of rural floating population as the center, fully understands their opinions and needs on AIDS knowledge, realizes multi-sectoral cooperation, integrates the family planning networks at the district, township and village levels, serves the wives of rural floating population by using township health technical resources, uses the pregnancy test of rural floating population wives by the family planning department, concentrates on AIDS publicity and education, and utilizes the rich knowledge and experience of AIDS prevention and control in the disease control department of the health system.
This whole statement is exactly the same as Hong Hang's paper except that "rural married women" are replaced by "rural foreign daughter-in-law".
In addition, the two papers are identical or highly similar in other words and drawings.
However, Yu Xiaodong said in the "Original Statement of Dissertation" of the paper: "Except for the places specially marked and thanked in the paper, the paper does not contain the research results published or written by others."
School reaction
Yu Xiaodong studied in School of Public Health of Anhui Medical University from 2004 to 2007. In June 2008, he entered the MPH (Master of Public Health) class of Anhui Medical University to study for a master's degree. During my study, I completed all the courses and obtained the required credits, and published many academic papers; Hong Hang studied for a master's degree in the Department of Logistics from 2006 to 2009.
Yu Xiaodong is currently deputy director of the Health Planning Commission of Bowang District, Ma 'anshan City, Anhui Province, director of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and secretary of the General Party Branch.
The Propaganda Department of the Party Committee of Anhui Medical University responded that the school is on holiday at present, and it has not received any report about Yu Xiaodong's alleged plagiarism before. The school will know and verify this matter as soon as possible.
As the deputy director of the Health Planning Commission of Bowang District, Ma 'anshan City, Anhui Province, and the director of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, why did Yu Xiaodong copy the paper so hard? The answer is obvious: "add gold" to your face and add "weight" to your career. As for what to study and how to apply the research results to work, this is not Yu Xiaodong's concern. As long as he passes the thesis and gets a degree, his goal will be achieved. In his eyes, a graduate degree is a "political signboard".
This is a deformed view of power and utility. It is driven by this utilitarianism that Yu Xiaodong plagiarized the papers of his fellow brothers, tried every means to get a "mentor", and even published the papers in the China knowledge resource database of China HowNet. I hope the school can find out the truth in time! Students need a statement, and so does the public!
Master's degree thesis is the result of cooperation between tutor and students. Traditionally, a paper needs great efforts from topic selection, conception, establishment of paper framework to writing. After writing, the tutor will revise it word for word. Therefore, if there is a problem with a dissertation, its tutor also has an unshirkable responsibility.
Only when leading cadres establish correct values and power concepts, take "three strictness and three realities" as the criterion, take "serving the people" as their own responsibility, be honest and do things in a down-to-earth manner, can they be good people cadres with responsibility, responsibility and achievements. If you are opportunistic and want to take a shortcut, you can only say that stealing chickens and wasting rice can only be done by shooting yourself in the foot.
Don't do it because of small goodness, and don't do it because of small evils. Plagiarism must not be taken lightly!
