With the accelerated pace of social life, mobile hardware devices are developing rapidly, and people's requirements for mobile devices are getting higher and higher. In this paper, an Android-based music player application is designed and simulated for the current mainstream Android mobile phone system. The open source Android system is adopted, and the Java language and Eclipse editing tools are used to compile and design the music player code. Through the construction of Android development environment, requirements analysis and detailed design process, the player display interface, subtitle scrolling interface, track playing interface, lyrics display interface and other functional interfaces are realized respectively, and the main playing functions of MP3 music player such as playing, pausing, singing, ordering songs, volume adjustment and lyrics display are realized. The simulation results show that the design can run independently in the Android system and play a good performance.
