1. Clinical research papers are written in different forms due to different contents and purposes. Common are papers, case reports and short reports. No matter which form has two purposes, one is publishing, and the other is making it easy for readers to read and understand. But some authors only want to publish, ignoring the second purpose.
2. When writing clinical inquiry reports or papers, three basic principles must be followed: accuracy, clarity and conciseness. Accuracy is consistent with the seriousness of scientific research work, which requires strict respect for its facts, data, charts and references; Clarity means that the new problems to be explained must be clearly stated, not vague, not misunderstood by readers or experts, and not allowed to be guessed by readers or experts; Conciseness should be simple and clear, without emotional exaggeration, and more importantly, useless rhetoric should be avoided.
3. A medical paper should generally explain the following four new questions to readers, that is, why should I make this inquiry? How do I conduct this survey? What did I find? What do I think of the findings in the survey? For this reason, Bradford Hill first proposed the IMRAD structure (introduction, method, results and discussion). IMRAD structure has been used to this day. 1976, the editorial board of the International Journal of Medicine met in Vancouver, Canada, and formulated the Vancouver Regulations. 199 1 year, the New England Journal of Medicine in the United States and the British Journal of Medicine published the fourth edition of the Vancouver Regulations. Up to now, more than 400 international medical biology journals have adopted the standardization suggestions of the Vancouver Regulations, and the National Bureau of Technical Supervision of China issued the format recommendation standard of sci-tech journals (GB77 14-87) referring to international standards in 1992. Therefore, the unified standardization suggestions at home and abroad have also been adopted by many medical biology journals in China.
