Abstract: Ethylene-propylene rubber is an important raw material in rubber industry, which can be divided into binary ethylene-propylene rubber, ternary ethylene-propylene rubber, modified ethylene-propylene rubber and thermoplastic ethylene-propylene rubber. Ethylene-propylene-diene rubber is called ethylene-propylene-diene rubber, which is made by conjugated copolymerization of ethylene, propylene and a small amount of acrylic monomer. The ethylene-propylene rubber can be brominated and chlorinated, which provides many varieties and grades for the modification of ethylene-propylene rubber. Moreover, ethylene-propylene rubber has excellent properties such as low density filling, aging resistance and corrosion resistance, and is widely used in automobile industry, construction industry, electrical and electronic industry and other fields. Among them, epdm rubber seal has become the main material in China's automobile products, and it has broad market prospects in its development and application.

At present, there are three kinds of production processes in ethylene-propylene rubber industry: solution polymerization, suspension polymerization and meteorological polycondensation. This paper introduces their technical conditions and characteristics respectively.
