A Brief Introduction to the Author of A Brief History of Western Music
Milo Wold, 1936— 1974, once taught at Linfield College and served as honorary professor of musicology. Later, in order to commemorate his and his wife's contribution to school education, the Milo and Blanche Wald Memorial Scholarship was established at Linfield College in 2008. His main works are "Introduction to Music Art in the Western World" (co-author).

Gary Martin is an emeritus professor of musicology at the University of Oregon, majoring in music education and music history. From 65438 to 0966, he began to teach in the School of Music Education, mainly offering courses such as music education and the history of music curriculum development. He used to be the director of the German International Music Education Center.
