The first form of examination: the old syllogism
The first question is summary. Use 150 to 200 words, or no more than 500 words to summarize the main problems reflected in the data. The second question puts forward countermeasures. That is to say, you are required to put forward countermeasures and suggestions for the problems raised in the materials, which generally do not exceed about 400 words. The third topic statement. You are required to write an argumentative essay of about 1000 words from the angle of your choice. We call these "old syllogism", which is also the form often used in civil service examinations at the beginning. This form is no longer used in the examinations for civil servants of central and state organs, but it will still be used in some local examinations.
There have been some changes in the examination of civil servants in central and state organs. The second question is to put forward countermeasures, and the third question is to make a statement. Writing an argumentative essay is generally to ask questions, analyze problems and solve problems. The second question and the third question may be repeated. In fact, if candidates can accurately grasp the requirements of applying for the exam, there will be no repetition. Why do you say that? Because the countermeasures in the second question are mainly aimed at the specific problems or phenomena mentioned in the materials, the third question requires candidates to improve on the basis of this problem, that is, to analyze the given materials, find out what kind of themes the materials mainly express, and then choose another angle to discuss them.
For example, in the judicial system examination of Liaoning Province in September this year, there was such a question about "irrational consumption of college students". For such materials, the second question is to put forward countermeasures and suggestions, mainly how to solve the problem of irrational consumption of college students, but the third question is that when writing an argumentative essay, candidates should think about what theme "irrational consumption of college students" mainly reflects, which may be related to our current hot spots. For example, "eight honors and eight shames" and the socialist concept of honor and disgrace, especially the idea of "being proud of hard work and ashamed of luxury and leisure" have been carried forward. The second problem is mainly how to solve the irrational consumption of college students, and the third problem is mainly how to work hard or a higher level of "eight honors and eight disgraces" to avoid repetition.
But in any case, the second question and the third question are basically repetitive. So change it. The second question type becomes an analysis of the effectiveness of the countermeasures.
The second form of examination: effective analysis and countermeasures
What is the effectiveness analysis of countermeasures? The first question is still a comprehensive summary. The second question is no longer to ask candidates to put forward countermeasures, but to put forward several countermeasures and suggestions on a relatively minor problem reflected in the materials, so that candidates can make judgments, judge which ones are correct and which ones are incorrect, pick out the incorrect ones and explain the reasons. The third question is statement. Such a change can avoid the doubts of candidates to a certain extent. But for the civil service examination, the second question is still about the ability to solve problems, and it will still be repeated with the third question, so it will evolve into a "new syllogism", which was obvious in the civil service examination of the central and state organs last year.
The third form of examination: new syllogism
The first question is summary, and the second question is mainly about the difference between the two paragraphs, which is different from the past. This is to focus on cultivating an analytical ability. In other words, the second problem of "new syllogism" is analysis. The third problem is to let candidates make suggestions directly, instead of writing argumentative papers from the previous pretentious point of view. Last year's civil service examination for central and state organs, the third question was "Please talk about how to improve the government's ability to deal with public emergencies", which was different from the previous requirements. Why not? Let's talk about countermeasures directly here, because the second part has already raised problems, so it is enough to make suggestions directly in the third part.
The first question in this year's Guangdong provincial examination is about the reasons for the proliferation of spam messages, and the second question is about how to comprehensively control spam messages. This is a change in the form of examination. Candidates should pay attention to this change in the review process, and different modes have different answering ideas.
