Longdong University is located in Qingyang City, Gansu Province. It is a full-time undergraduate college jointly established by Gansu Provincial Government and Qingyang City. The school is a cooperative institution of Lanzhou University, East China Normal University and other institutions, and has established inter-school cooperation and exchange relations with Taiwan Province northern arizona university, Humboldt State University, Mansfield University, Chinese Culture University and other 13 institutions.
The school started from Qingyang College of Agricultural Sciences, which was founded in August 1949, and Qingyang Normal College, which was founded in February 1978. In April 2003, the Ministry of Education approved the establishment of a multi-disciplinary undergraduate college-Longdong College.
