From the day I began to watch the Romance of the Three Kingdoms more than ten years ago, I felt angry and sorry for the unfair treatment and tragic ending suffered by Wei Yan from time to time. With the increasing of age and experience, and the gradual understanding of the meaning of life, this sense of injustice has become more and more intense after reading the paragraphs and details describing Wei Yan in Romance of the Three Kingdoms and History of the Three Kingdoms repeatedly. In front of my eyes, there always seem to be books. In my heart, I always want to express my grievances for this general who is ambitious, arrogant, familiar with military affairs, long-term military affairs, diligent in strategy and kind to foot soldiers.
As one of the leading figures in Shu, Wei Yan made great contributions to the establishment of Liu Bei's Jiangshan.
Wei Yan first appeared in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, which coincided with Liu Bei's army crossing the river and losing to Xiangyang. At this moment, Liu Bei can be said to be a crushing defeat, surrounded by thousands of tired soldiers, but Guan Yu, Zhang Fei and Zhao Yun were followed by Cao Cao's pursuit, and Cai Mao and Zhang Yun's difficulties. It can be said that it is a dilemma, and life and death are uncertain.
At this critical moment, Wei Yan, who had nothing to do with the opposing sides, stood up. It was with a man's bloody heart that he did not hesitate to offend Cai Mao and Zhang Yun, the two flatterers, and fought fiercely with the famous Wen Pin for dozens of times at the gates of Xiangyang. Finally, the whole family was killed and went to Changsha alone.
It can be said that the first appearance of this upright, brave and slightly reckless soldier left a deep impression on me.
However, what Wei Yan and his readers didn't expect was that it was this completely heartfelt act of fighting righteousness that later became the initial reason for Zhuge Liang to believe that he had a bone in his head.
Wei Yan appeared for the second time after Battle of Red Cliffs, and Liu Bei attacked nine counties in the Han Dynasty.
At that time, the arrogant Guan Yu led his troops to attack Changsha, which was stubbornly blocked by veteran Huang Zhong. He was in trouble, and the arrogant and bloody Wei Yan gave him a hand.
At that time, in order to repay Guan Yu's kindness on the battlefield, Huang Zhong, a veteran who shot three arrows in vain, was misunderstood by Han Xuan, the satrap, tied to the execution ground and was about to be beheaded.
Readers can't help worrying about the life and death of General Huang Lao when they see this. At the critical moment, Wei Yan was filled with indignation and shouted: "Huang Hansheng is the guarantee of Changsha. Killing Han Sheng means killing Changsha people." Draw a sword and behead Han Xuan, who is groggy and lighter than killing people, and open the gate to welcome Liu Bei's army into Changsha.
At this point, I am glad that I saved one of the later five tiger generals, and I am also excited that Wei Yan, a brave general, was finally under Liu Bei's account.
Unexpectedly, after Mr Zhuge arrived, the first thing he did was to order the killing of Wei Yan, who had made meritorious service. The reason is that "it is disloyal to live and dedicate one's own land, and it is unfair to eat his wealth and kill his master."
Seeing this really makes people feel unfair to Wei Yan! Is it a mistake to abandon the incompetent Lord and welcome the arrival of Ming Jun? Shouldn't we just watch the stupid people cut off the heads of world famous stars and be indifferent? Every time I think about this, I can't help shouting for Wei: What a grievance!
Fortunately, Liu Bei is the wise master of entrepreneurship, remembering the old feelings and saving Wei Yan from the sword of Zhuge.
Since then, Liu Bei's account has added another valiant soldier to stop the west from killing the east, and Wei Yan has also been able to display his talents under Liu Bei's account. Over the past decades, he has repeatedly made outstanding achievements in the charge: taking Xichuan and Huang Zhong as pioneers, defeating the famous players in Sichuan; In the battle of Dongchuan, Zhang Fei repeatedly broke Cao Bing and shot Cao Cao alongside of.seem; The retreat of barbarians from Lushui has broken Meng for several years, which has made Mr. Zhuge's seven-capture and seven-vertical move; Chencang Wei Zhen beheaded all the strikers of Xinmeile Co., Ltd., effectively fulfilling the responsibility of pulling mountains and wading before returning ...
The last generation of valiant soldiers assisted Bi Mingjun to achieve Wang Ba's career, which made Liu Bei, who had no land in those days, sit on the throne of Sichuan King, the commander of the two rivers, and continued the western corner of the country for more than 60 years in the later Han Dynasty.
At the same time, a generation of Mingjun helped this valiant soldier realize his ambition to make contributions, and Wei Yan, who voted alone that year, realized his wish to hold his head up and raise his eyebrows, and became the general of Hanzhong, sitting alone in Hanzhong.
At this point, we can't help but be glad that Liu Bei's insights and Wei Yan's encounter with the wise master complement each other.
However, Liu Bei didn't think, Wei Yan didn't think, and we didn't think that no matter how great Wei Yan's contribution was, the tragedy of Wei Yan's life was ultimately subjective, and the planner and director of this tragedy was Zhuge Liang, a famous saint who was regarded as a teacher by Liu Bei and a god by the whole people.
In order to prove that his prediction is correct, this former Nanyang Wolong, today's Han Shuwu, was revered as his father by Liu Chan for more than ten years after Liu Bei's death, and repeatedly used a series of secret and dark means to contain and suppress Wei Yan's correct suggestions and actions, so that his rich operational experience accumulated in years of war could not be exerted at all, was it not?
The first time he went out of Qishan, Wei Yan boldly proposed to take his own soldiers through the meridian valley and go straight to Chang 'an, the important town of Wei. This was definitely a surprising coup at that time, because it was not Cao Zhen, the general who defended Chang 'an against the Shu army for a long time, nor Sima Yi, the commander-in-chief of a wily old fox, but Xiahou Mao who knew nothing about military affairs. The timing is really good.
Unfortunately, Wei Yan's suggestion was not adopted by Mr. Zhuge at all. If Mr Zhuge adopts this suggestion, perhaps the history of the Three Kingdoms will be rewritten.
Defending the street pavilion is related to the victory or defeat of the Northern Expedition. Both Mr Zhuge, the commander-in-chief of the whole army, and Wei Yan, the pioneer general who broke the enemy's plundering array, understood the weight of this battle.
Therefore, as soon as Mr Zhuge opened the written pledge to fulfill a military order, Wei Yan took the lead in asking for instructions and was willing to go to Jieting to fight Sima Yi and Zhang He. For the Shu army at that time, apart from veteran Zhao Yun, only Wei Yan had the qualification and ability to demand this extremely heavy and closely related direction.
Wei Yan was once again suppressed by the power in Zhuge Liang's hands. In the end, General Pioneer only became an envoy in charge of reception behind the mountain and was sent to guard the key to the victory or defeat of this war and the street pavilion at the throat. It turned out to be Ma Su, a mediocre man who had already been caught by Liu Bei, indicating that his exaggeration was useless. Why do you want this arrangement? The reason is very simple, because this gentleman is Kong Ming's confidant and hand-picked by Mr. Wolong, so he has made such a great contribution to guarding the street pavilion. In any case, Mr. Kong Ming will not let the brave and confident Wei Wenchang get his hands on him.
It's just a pity that this general Masu is really disappointing. He is headstrong and thinks he knows the art of war. As a result, when he went to the battlefield, he would only copy the hard copy and station troops at the top of the mountain, and his wishful thinking was overwhelming. As a result, it didn't work at all, and the waterway was broken, causing chaos among the people. He had to pick up the beaten army and break through to the death. Thanks to Wei Yan's support, he escaped, losing not only the street kiosks in the military town, but also his life.
The defeat in the battle of Jieting, the loss of the Shu army and the missteps of the commander-in-chief undoubtedly disappointed Wei Yan, a battle-hardened valiant soldier.
Therefore, even if Mr. Wolong beheaded his beloved horse in tears, he could not rebuild his trust in Mr. Kong Ming in Wei Yan's heart.
From then on, Wei Yan's attitude towards Mr. Zhuge's orders began to change, from no doubt in the past to doubt today, and even cynicism, which made Mr. Zhuge even more taboo.
In Mr. Wang's eyes, the "anti-bone theory" began to become a reality.
So, on the basis of containment, Mr. Zhuge began to deal with this disobedient Wei Yan in a similar way, and he wanted to kill him quickly.
In order to complete this move, Mr. Wang started a far-sighted plan. Zhuge Liang arranged the fire attack of World War I in Shanggu, in fact, he planned to burn Sima Yi's father and son and Wei Yan, who lured the enemy, in the valley. Even Mr. Luo Guanzhong has to admit this. People are worse than the sky. The pouring rain not only saved Sima Yi and his son, but also ruined Zhuge Liang's plan to kill Wei Yan. Therefore, Mr. Wang can only sigh helplessly.
After reading the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, most people don't understand this Zhuge. Why do they just look for the way out of Qishan? Is it prudent or timid? This is unknown, but it is an indisputable fact that the six northern expeditions were all in vain.
Decades of wars have consumed a lot of manpower, material resources and talents. Not only did Shu not acquire the land of Wei, but finally even his commander-in-chief was dragged to death in the cold night of the bleak autumn wind in Wuzhangyuan.
With the gradual success of Sima Yi's non-war strategy, Mr. Zhuge, who was trapped in Wuzhangyuan on the Weihe River, became increasingly poor, and the spirit of the Shu army was slowly dragged away, and Mr. Zhu's life began to end.
However, under such circumstances, Mr. Zhuge still did not give up the idea of getting rid of Wei Yan. He not only insisted on keeping an eye on Wei Yan's every move, but also began to quietly find and support his confidants and associates who helped him realize this wish.
So, Yang Yi, an ordinary staff officer who couldn't see his achievements, was entrusted with the important task of unifying the army; Ma Dai, a warrior in the Shu army, was secretly tricked into a trick. Before his death, Mr. Wang finally completed the final deployment of getting rid of this "anti-bone" that has been stuck in his heart for decades through a series of shady little moves.
After Mr Zhuge died, Wei Yan really rebelled. He burned the plank road to stop Uncle Ling from disobeying orders. So, there was Yang Yi's abuse before the war, and Ma Dai's sword behind him. Shortly after his death, Duke Zheng of Nan, who repeatedly made meritorious military service, was appointed as the satrap of Hanzhong and the general of the Western Expedition of Shu. Finally, he was labeled as a rebel and beheaded before the battle.
Great, Wei Yan, who is extremely brave and arrogant, is dead, and the status of Yang Yi's generation is no longer threatened. Mr. Zhuge's last wish has finally come true, and Shu seems to be able to live a plain life from now on.
In fact, anyone who has carefully read Romance of the Three Kingdoms and History of the Three Kingdoms can see what Wei Yan did after Zhuge Liang's death, what he was resisting and what he was opposing. Indeed, he begged for the military emblem, refused to accept the withdrawal order, set fire to the plank road, and banned his former comrades. On the surface, he formed a rebellious fact, so it seems that there is nothing wrong with being beheaded.
However, if it is concluded that Wei Yan wants to oppose it, it is really General Wei under the tomb who is wrong! We will never forget what Wei Yan, a former general with the longest experience, the strongest martial arts and the highest rank in the Shu camp, said after learning that Mr. Zhuge was dead and Yang Yi was in command of the whole army, and was ordered to retreat from the front.
There are always two sentences, one is: although the prime minister is dead, some people are still alive! Can a person's death invalidate the affairs of state? In a word: what kind of person is Yang Yi? Can a gentleman be made of scholars?
The meaning of the previous sentence is nothing more than: continue the northern expedition and complete the great cause of reunification; The last sentence shows that Wei, a meritorious general, despises Yang Yi, an incompetent person, and doesn't want to be influenced by him at all. Its essence is nothing more than a power struggle between civil servants and military commanders in Shu. The so-called winner is king and the loser is enemy. Therefore, Wei Yan is only a victim of this power struggle.
A beautiful forest in the forest will be destroyed by the wind, and a person will be thrown to the ground and destroyed. The Confucian tradition formed in China for thousands of years has created this abnormal psychology that no one can be better than the public. It can be said that the tragedy of General Wei's high-spirited life stems from this.
After Wei Yan's death, there was indeed a disdainful figure in the upper and lower courts of Shu, and there was indeed a brief peace between civilian military commanders.
However, the serious consequences are so obvious-
Since then, there has never been a brave and invincible talent like Wei Wenchang in Shu, and there has never been a former independent general in Hanzhong in the West. Facing the powerful Wei Jun, the fatuous Liu Chan, the dying distribution school and the declining Shu State, Jiang Wei, who is in command of the army, can only silently swallow the bitter wine of "there is no general in Shu, and Liao Hua is the pioneer", barely supporting the embarrassing situation left by Mr. Zhuge.
Fortunately, God is just. The so-called God is three feet from the ground. Facts have proved that no matter how preconceived Mr. Zhuge thinks that Wei Yan's brain will turn against his bones in the future, or how mediocre people like Yang Yi rack their brains to find evidence and weave charges, the evidence is still insufficient and unable to convince people.
Oh! A generation of famous soldiers did not fall on the battlefield of narrow escape, but died by the sword waving behind their own backs. This unfair ending is enough to make people with lofty ideals in the world lament.
Ironically, Yang Yi, who was entrusted with a heavy responsibility by Zhuge Liang, once said when his desire for power was not satisfied: If I had known this, why would the Prime Minister have voted for Wei with the whole army when he died?
These words really told Mr. Zhuge under the grave, whose brain really has anti-bones? !
