Professor Abraham Berman, a famous person in the field of international matrix theory, is a postdoctoral co-tutor. Up to now, four cooperative papers have been completed. In June 2002, he was invited to attend and give a speech at the 10 international conference on matrix theory sponsored by Auburn University. In August, 2002, he participated in the satellite conference of the 2002 International Congress of Mathematicians and the fifth international conference on China matrix theory and its application, and presided over the sub-group meeting of combinatorial matrix theory. At present, the research project "Complete Positive Matrix and Its Application" has won three funds of the National Natural Science Foundation [1996-1999; Anhui Education Commission Project (99jl0009), 2/1999—2/2001; Project of Anhui Education Commission (02040 1), September 2002-September 2004. ]. Published or accepted papers 18 in domestic and foreign journals in recent five years, including 5 papers published in sci(ei) and 7 papers published in national key journals. The article I published in Linear Algebra and Its Application ranked third in the search and download papers from June 5438 to August 2004, and fifth in all algebraic journal articles published by elsvier. The main research topic is completely positive matrix and its application.
The research of completely positive matrix began in 1960s, and its application involves the mathematical model of energy supply, exchangeable probability distribution on limited sample space, combinatorial design, maximum and minimum benefit-robustness test, Markov model of dna sequence and other fields. The necessary and sufficient conditions for matrix to be completely positive are given by using the theory of geometric cone, graph theory, matrix and set theory, which basically solves the description problem of fifth-order completely positive matrix, studies some special types of completely positive matrix, puts forward the concept of generalized completely positive matrix, and solves the decomposition problem of low-order (0, 1) completely positive matrix. The previous research results have been included in the monograph "Complete Positive Matrix" co-authored by Professor Abraham Berman and published by World Science Press.
In teaching, in addition to teaching combinatorial matrix theory, combinatorial mathematics, matrix theory and its application, graph theory and its application to graduate students in this department, it also teaches advanced mathematics and other courses to undergraduate students in computer department and electronics department, and teaches mathematical experiments (bilingual teaching), mathematical models and the extension of advanced algebra to undergraduate students in mathematics department. The self-compiled teaching software "Mathematical Experiment" won the second prize of Anhui University's teaching achievement 2001; In 2002, he edited the textbook "Advanced Algebra Methods and Their Applications".
