How to take notes in a paper?
(1) Select the text to be annotated, and then click Quote-Insert Footnote.

② The cursor will automatically jump to the bottom of the page, and the comment "1" will appear before the cursor. Footnote/endnote separator will be automatically selected in Reference in the menu bar.

③ Enter comments.

④ Adjust font size and other formats as needed.

If the footnote number is wrong, you can click on the small square to the right of the footnote in the "Citation" column above. Select "Number Format", and the small triangle on the right side of this column can be clicked to expand, and then you can choose according to your needs.
