It is not difficult to see that the new development plan of the navy has deleted the words "combining offshore defense with …" and at the same time adjusted "step by step" to "accelerating", and the overall strategy has rapidly shifted from offshore to offshore development. In the end, what the outside world can really observe is, of course, the offshore formations with higher and higher frequency and larger scale.

In March, 20021,the Type 055 Nanchang Ship, which had just served for one year, led a team to enter the Sea of Japan via Ma Haixia. This was the first time that the destroyer Type 055 appeared in the Sea of Japan, and it also caused a great sensation at home and abroad at that time, but it was only the beginning. From April of that year, Nanchang Ship went to sea continuously, and successively completed the tasks of leading a team to Alaska in the United States, Peter the Great Bay in Russia, and escorting the Liaoning ship south twice.

The performance of Nanchang Ship going to sea five times a year really shows the important role of 055 as a large command ship and carrier escort, and the experience gained by leading the team to sail has also become the basis for more ships to go to sea.

On May 2, 2022, the Liaoning ship led seven warships to enter the western Pacific for training through the Miyako Strait. With the support of the unprecedented powerful escort formation, the Liaoning ship performed very well, taking off and landing more than 300 carrier-based aircraft in 20 days, which confirmed the considerable actual combat capability of the aircraft carrier, which can be said to shock the world. Behind the dazzling achievements, there is a very realistic problem. At present, there are only three aircraft carriers in China, of which the latest 003 Fujian ship has just docked, and it is expected to be in service for at least two years.

However, Liaoning ships have a limited number of training trips to sea each year, only about twice a year. In theory, Shandong ships should go to sea more frequently, but from the actual performance, it used to be mainly running-in training. Therefore, the navy must seriously consider ensuring offshore training in many ways under the condition that the number of available aircraft carriers and the time to go to sea are limited, so there have been many batches of intensive training scenes recently.

It should be said that it is not too unexpected that the 055 Lhasa ship went to sea at 12. After all, there is a precedent for Nanchang Ship to verify its long-range naval power through Ma Haixia. The Lhasa ship has been in service for 15 months, and it can fully perform the deployment mission in the open sea.

But then the Lhasa ship led a team to bypass the Japanese archipelago, which really surprised the outside world. As the first offshore training for large ships, it is generally to verify the basic tactics of the ships. For example, it takes a week for the Nanchang ship to return to Hong Kong for the first time. In contrast, the Lhasa ship has been at sea for more than 0/0 days, and it is estimated that the whole operation will take two weeks, twice as much as the Nanchang ship.

From this point of view, Nanchang Ship has accumulated a lot of experience in many ocean-going trainings of 202 1. It is normal to fully learn the relevant experience of Nanchang Ship. It is not even ruled out that when the Lhasa ship went out to sea, some people went out to sea with the Nanchang ship.

More importantly, the performance from Nanchang Ship's maiden voyage to the Sea of Japan for one week to Lhasa Ship's two-week circumnavigation around the Japanese archipelago is likely to become the practice in the future. Wuxi and Anshan ships, which will also serve in the North Sea Fleet in the future, may go to sea for a longer time and have a longer voyage.

Because the outside world had great expectations for 055, the performance of the 055 Lhasa ship was unexpected, but it was not too unexpected. In contrast, the performance of Sirius reconnaissance ship and its sister ship in the formation really surprised the outside world. On April 1 1, it was Sirius, a reconnaissance ship sailing with Lhasa, that crossed Ma Haixia alone and entered the Sea of Japan, where it closely monitored the USS Lincoln and warships.

Previously, the "792" Neptune reconnaissance ship went south alone and approached Australia's exclusive economic zone for reconnaissance, which caused a sensation in Australia. From the positioning point of view, although the naval reconnaissance ship has no combat capability, it is equipped with a series of electronic reconnaissance equipment, but it can collect and record typical electromagnetic signals such as radars and electronic warfare systems of nearby maritime warships, which can not only be stored in the signal database as the basic information for identifying the enemy or the enemy's situation, but also the best information for our army's electronic warfare system to attack enemy electronic equipment.

In fact, during the Cold War, the United States and the Soviet Union built a large number of reconnaissance ships to collect each other's electronic information. The Soviet navy even built the famous large-scale nuclear-powered reconnaissance ship "Ural" to meet this demand. This huge ship with a full displacement of 35,000 tons is the largest reconnaissance ship in human history and once became the flagship of the Russian Navy's Pacific Fleet.

Whenever the Ural goes to sea, its terrible tonnage brings almost unlimited endurance and a large number of shipborne electronic equipment, which has become a nightmare for the US Navy and Haizi in Japan.

Although the tonnage of our navy's electronic reconnaissance ship is far less than that of Urals, the famous 8 15 series electronic reconnaissance ship has launched intensive operations on the vast ocean with excellent performance, providing a solid guarantee for the navy to go to sea. At that time, the anger and helplessness caused by the activities of the US Navy's electronic reconnaissance ship in the waters around China have now been transferred to the United States and Australia to a certain extent.

In contrast, the two smaller destroyer formations that just went out to sea not long ago did not have such starships as 055 or 8 15A. What really attracts the attention of the outside world is the special formation. Two southern formations of ***6 warships are all from the East China Sea Fleet, and the combination of 052D and 054A is normal.

From the outside world, these two warships have long been equipped with Haihongqi -9 long-range air defense missile and Hongqi-16 medium-range ship-to-air missile, respectively, and built a complete air defense system. Compared with the other two fleets, the situation of the East China Sea Fleet is quite special. On the one hand, this is the only one of the three fleets that has no aircraft carrier and no 055 fleet. On the other hand, the newly launched 003 Fujian ship and the undetermined 055 No.7 and No.8 ships are expected to serve in the East China Sea Fleet.

Therefore, it is very necessary for the East China Sea Fleet to focus on the overall operations of future aircraft carrier formations, dispatch 052D and 054A for maritime training, and further accumulate experience in ocean deployment. However, it is incomprehensible to let 052C or even 056A with a displacement of less than 2,000 tons go to sea.

Theoretically speaking, although 056A is an offshore ship in the impression of the outside world, in the history of human naval development, ships with a tonnage of 1000 tons or more are actually fully capable of ocean navigation. In fact, during World War II, there were still a large number of destroyers of this tonnage operating in the ocean.

056A, which has excellent design and construction conditions, has the hardware foundation for offshore training, but its limited endurance and rich naval resources make it unnecessary for 056A to do so. Now 056A has joined hands with 052C to go out to sea, which is another example of the East China Sea Fleet going out to sea with all its strength.

Since 20 10, China's navy has built a large number of advanced ships, which has given the navy a material basis for going to the sea. Today, high-frequency naval fleet training is a continuation of this achievement. However, after all, the early accumulation of China Navy is too weak.
