The steps to import a map through arcgis are as follows:

1. Open the ArcGIS software and enter the interface of ArcMap or ArcGISPro.

2. Click the "Add Data" option in the menu bar to import the map from a local directory, a network drive, ArcGISOnline or an organization portal.

3. In the pop-up dialog box, browse to the location where the map data is stored, select the map data file to import, and then click Add to import the map data into ArcGIS.
