Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, formerly known as Shandong College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, was founded in 1958. 1978 was listed as a national key hospital of traditional Chinese medicine and enrolled the first batch of graduate students, which was one of the first units in China to recruit graduate students of traditional Chinese medicine. 198 1 was listed as a provincial key institution by the Shandong provincial government, and was approved by the the State Council Academic Degrees Committee as the first batch of bachelor's and master's degree awarding units in Chinese medicine colleges. 1986 was granted the right to confer doctoral degrees. 1996 was renamed Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine with the approval of the former State Education Commission. 1998 set up the first post-doctoral research mobile station, which was approved by the State Council Academic Degrees Committee as the first batch of pilot units to award Clinical Fellow degrees in the same year. In 2000, it was approved as a pilot unit for awarding doctor's degree in clinical specialty. Since its founding 45 years ago, we have conscientiously implemented the Party's educational policy, corrected the guiding ideology of running a school, made clear the orientation of running a school, strengthened its advantages and characteristics, made gratifying achievements in teaching, scientific research and social services, and trained a large number of applied talents facing the front line of medical care, science and technology, education and production.

I. Basic Conditions The school headquarters covers an area of 1.943 mu, of which the old campus covers an area of 220 mu, with a construction area of 1.57 million square meters; The new campus covers an area of 1.723 mu, with a planned construction area of 480,000 square meters. Planning and design have been completed and construction is about to start. The total value of instruments and equipment is 48.59 million yuan, with 825,300 books, and it has a well-equipped computer campus network.

Second, the educational structure has a complete academic level and a reasonable professional structure. There are 2 postdoctoral research stations, 9 doctoral degree awarding points (among which Chinese medicine is a first-class doctoral program) and 19 master degree awarding points. The master's degree covers Chinese medicine, integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine, and Chinese medicine, and has begun to penetrate into neighboring disciplines. It also has the right to award doctors and master's degrees in clinical medicine. There are 9 undergraduate majors, with the major direction of 18, spanning five disciplines: medicine, science, engineering, management and literature. There are 6875 full-time students, including 6578 undergraduates and graduate students, foreign students and students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan 159, 64 full-time adult junior college classes and 74 adult remedial classes. In addition, there are 6573 college students. An educational structure system with Chinese medicine as the main body and coordinated development of multi-disciplinary categories has been formed.

The teaching and research system consists of 7 colleges, 4 teaching departments, 54 subject teaching and research sections, 17 teaching laboratories (centers), 4 research institutes and 6 independent research laboratories. There are 8 affiliated hospitals and 58 practice teaching bases. The basic theory of traditional Chinese medicine and medical history documents of traditional Chinese medicine are national key disciplines, state administration of traditional chinese medicine key construction disciplines and provincial key construction A-level disciplines; State administration of traditional chinese medicine has 2 key construction majors, 4 tertiary laboratories, 6 provincial key disciplines, 2 key laboratories and 6 key majors.

There are 43 full-time teachers1person, 2 tenured professors, 39 doctoral supervisors, 204 master supervisors, 77 professors and 47 associate professors1person. 2 1 person won national honorary titles such as national advanced worker and national excellent teacher, 1 person was shortlisted for the National Million Talents Project, 1 person won the National "China Pharmaceutical Development Award", 1 person was a young and middle-aged expert with outstanding contributions from the Ministry of Health, 26 experts enjoyed special government allowance from the State Council, and 9 provincial-level professional and technical personnel. Twenty-two provincial-level young and middle-aged academic backbones and academic leaders have been trained, 10 young teachers won the Fok Ying Tung Fund Award, and were awarded the title of "National Top 100 Young Doctors of Traditional Chinese Medicine" and "National Young and Middle-aged Medical Science and Technology Star", and 37 teachers were awarded the title of "Thousands of Famous Technical Experts in Shandong Province". In addition, four academicians, including Guan Huashi, were invited to be honorary professors of our school.

Journal of Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, as a core periodical, enjoys a high reputation among similar periodicals in China. Journal of traditional chinese medicine of Shandong, co-sponsored by Shandong Society of Traditional Chinese Medicine, was selected into the 200 1 China periodical phalanx. And undertake the editing and publishing tasks of China Anorectal Journal and China Journal of Chinese and Western Medicine Images. Since 1990s, more than 200 textbooks and monographs on medical and social sciences have been edited and published/kloc-0. In the compilation of Advanced Textbooks of Traditional Chinese Medicine in the New Century organized by state administration of traditional chinese medicine, our school served as the editor-in-chief and deputy editor-in-chief of 32 textbooks. According to the results published in Statistics and Analysis of Sci-tech Papers in China by China Institute of Sci-tech Information, the sci-tech papers published by our university in 2000 and 20001year for two consecutive years rank among the top 30 medical colleges in China. Participated in the editing and publishing of Shandong University of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, the only textbook in China, and made important contributions to the cause of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine in our province.
