1In May 1995, the Central Committee of China and the State Council held a national science and technology conference and decided to implement the strategy of rejuvenating the country through science and education throughout the country. Over the past 20 years, a series of major decision-making arrangements, such as the Ninth Five-Year Plan and the 20 10 long-term goal, have continuously given new era connotations to "rejuvenating the country through science and education". The report of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China identified the strategy of rejuvenating the country through science and education as one of the seven strategies that need to be firmly implemented to build a well-off society in an all-round way. The strategy of rejuvenating the country through science and technology is guided by the idea that science and technology are the primary productive forces, insisting on education-oriented, putting science and technology and education in an important position in economic and social development, enhancing the national scientific and technological strength and the ability to transform science and technology into real productive forces, increasing the contribution rate of science and technology to the economy, improving the scientific and technological cultural quality of the whole nation, shifting economic construction to the track of relying on scientific and technological progress and improving the quality of workers, and accelerating the prosperity of the country.

The strategic basis of rejuvenating the country through science and education lies in education, and the key lies in science and technology. To implement the strategy of rejuvenating the country through science and education, we must give full play to the basic role of science, technology and education in rejuvenating the country, deepen the reform of science, technology and education system, and promote the combination of science, technology, education and economy. Scientific and technological work must consciously face the main battlefield of economic construction, with the main task of overcoming the key problems that need to be solved urgently in the development of national economy; Education should face modernization, the world and the future. By optimizing the educational structure, reforming the educational system, rationally allocating resources and improving the quality of education and the efficiency of running schools, education and economy can be closely combined.
