When the belt conveyor is running normally, the brake is filled with liquid, instead of driving the motor to drive the pump to run, the brake torque is adjusted according to the amount of input brake fluid. It is usually used for oil supply, but because the oil will transfer the braking energy to the belt conveyor in a short time, the sharp rise of oil temperature will consume all the oil, so the circulation system must be used for oil supply and heating. It has the advantages of large braking torque and can be adjusted, but for pumping equipment, the equipment is bulky.
The braking torque of hydraulic brake is proportional to the rotational speed of the brake, which is generally installed on the reducer and high-speed shaft. Because the braking torque can be adjusted during braking, it is very suitable for belt conveyor. The hydraulic brake cannot brake the belt to zero speed. When the speed of the pump is lower than 400r/min, other types of brakes must be installed to meet the requirements of the automobile. However, because the equipment and belt conveyor are scalable, they cannot be installed and used.

Hydraulic braking is divided into hydraulic braking and hydraulic speed braking.
1) hydraulic brake
Its working principle is that the displacement pump is connected to the belt conveyor by the host machine and dragged. When the braking energy is converted, the braking torque can be adjusted by adjusting the outlet pressure of the pump and hydraulic pump, so as to achieve the purpose of belt conveyor braking. After the hydraulic braking pressure is confirmed, the system will output the speed change and constant braking torque of a main engine. Its main advantage is that the braking torque is proportional to the set pressure, and it can brake the speed to zero independently and mechanically without setting.
2) Hydraulic speed braking
In this device, when the water pump changes with the flow of the main hydraulic pump, the speed of the belt conveyor can be changed, so as to realize braking control.
Hydraulic braking is controlled by hydraulic pressure or flow, and can effectively reduce the speed by braking the belt conveyor. For high-power belt conveyor, the variable piston pump with high braking pressure and large flow rate is generally used. When the belt conveyor is braked, the displacement is the maximum, while when the belt conveyor is in normal operation, the displacement is the minimum. Because the pump runs for a long time, it wears quickly and has a short life. During the braking process, a lot of braking heat is taken away from hydraulic oil and water, which increases the heat dissipation of the system. When the oil temperature is too high, the temperature of hydraulic components and oil will change easily due to circular motion and large flow failure, which further affects the reliability of the hydraulic control system. At the same time, when the belt conveyor is running, due to oil leakage from the oil supply pump and the hydraulic system, a car stopper must be specially installed for the hydraulic brake lever.

Principle of liquid viscous controllable braking and liquid viscous controllable soft starter. It is used for the transmission of viscous friction torque of liquid. In order to realize the braking performance of belt conveyor, the hydraulic viscous controllable braking device adopts normally closed structure. When the active friction plates are driven to rotate, a part is separated from the friction plates and a part is separated from among the friction plates due to the driving force. By changing the size of the hydraulic cylinder, the friction and pressure between the driven parts can be adjusted, and then the friction torque between the driven parts can be changed, thus realizing the braking technology of the belt conveyor. In the braking process, the braking torque decreases with the increase of oil film clearance, but decreases with the increase of braking speed. Therefore, in the braking process, the oil film should be continuously reduced to ensure a certain clearance and braking torque.
The liquid viscous controllable braking device has a simple structure: it provides adjustable braking torque which has no influence on stability, and can be braked by hydraulic station platform. When the belt conveyor is overloaded, it can realize automatic overload protection function. It is safe and reliable to use, with small braking torque and good effect. The viscosity of brake fluid is controllable. The friction works in viscous lubricating oil, and it can save operating costs by heating, cooling and cooling water. The liquid viscous controllable brake is a good braking device at present, especially suitable for long-distance and high-power belt conveyors.
