Technical solution

1 overview

According to the hotel's construction and application requirements, we have formulated the technical design scheme of wireless network. Because there is no detailed room structure diagram, the specific location and number of distribution points are uncertain.

The following focuses on the following aspects to discuss the scheme:

Wireless system architecture

Describe the architecture and composition of the wireless network system designed in this technical scheme, and explain the system composition and connection.

Technical points of the scheme

According to the key points in the project requirements analysis, combined with the technical advantages of Motorola wireless architecture, this paper focuses on describing the methods and technologies of this technical scheme to meet the project requirements and key points.

Wireless AP deployment

Describe in detail the methods and ways to erect and deploy AP equipment according to different hotel areas.

2. Technical scheme of wireless network system

2. 1 Overall framework

The following figure shows the hotel wireless network system mechanism designed in this scheme:

According to the status and functions of different network devices in the network system, the wireless network system shown in the above figure can be divided into several parts, namely:

2. 1. 1 wireless terminal

Wireless network terminals are mainly used for network applications. There are many kinds of wireless network terminals and various applications. For example: WiFi wireless phone, notebook computer and PDA with WiFi function, printer and cash register with WiFi module, etc. In addition, the set-top box equipment with wireless VOD is also a kind of wireless terminal.

2. 1.2 radio access layer

Wireless access point equipment, mainly including access point/access port, is responsible for the access and network transmission of wireless end users. The main wireless access point product used in this scheme is Motorola AP300. All AP300 are connected to the Ethernet switch supporting 802.3af POE power supply through Ethernet cables to obtain power supply and excellent network connection.

AP300 is a high-end wireless access port in Motorola's third-generation wireless network architecture, and it is a wireless access point that seamlessly matches the wireless switch (commonly known as thin AP). AP300 provides users with the best technical features, the simplest installation and maintenance, and the most economical cost.

2. 1.3 POE convergence layer

It mainly includes wired network switches with 802.3af standard power over Ethernet (POE) function. In wired networks, these switches are usually regarded as access layer devices, but in wireless networks, they play the role of gathering AP access points to connect network core devices.

2. 1.4 core application layer

The core application layer mainly includes two parts, namely, wireless network and core equipment-wireless network switch and wireless network application server-including WIPS wireless intrusion safety protection platform, RF Manager wireless network planning (optional) and maintenance management tool platform (optional).

The AP300 wireless access point is connected to the POE power switch at the rate of 100 Mbps, and then the POE power switch is connected to the core layer network equipment. The core wireless switch stack in the scheme is connected to the core network through the high bandwidth of 1000Mbps, which ensures the stable pyramid structure of network planning.

All wireless network traffic collected by AP300 is collected by POE switch to core wireless switch RFS7000 or WS5 100 for unified filtering and forwarding.

In this part, in order to meet the diverse and rich application and unified and simple management requirements of the hotel, the application platform is deployed:

RF manager

This is a system-aided wireless planning and management tool, which is an optional part of the project.

WIPS

It is recommended to use wireless intrusion prevention system to ensure the security of wireless network.

2. 1.5 gateway access layer

Mainly responsible for gateway access between hotel network and WAN. It includes routers and firewalls connected to the Internet, and access gateways for voice networks.

2.2 technical points of the scheme

This section describes the technical realization point by point according to the specific requirements put forward in the previous chapter "Project Requirements and Requirements Analysis".

2.2. 1 high performance

Signal coverage and strength

By installing and deploying wireless access points in the whole hotel area (the number has not yet been determined) to meet the coverage requirements, and by combining field measurement and empirical estimation, the AP deployment scheme is designed, and the signal strength is guaranteed to be better than 70dbm by adjusting a single AP.

User capacity and transmission performance

According to the estimation of the number of wireless users in each area of the hotel and the performance test results of Motorola AP products, the maximum number of users accessing each AP is set to not more than 30 in the design to ensure the availability of wireless networks and good transmission performance.

High availability

Roaming performance

RFS7000/WS5 100 and AP300 supporting L2\L3 roaming technology can meet the requirements of seamless roaming and smooth handover in real mobile applications. RFS7000/ WS5 100 can receive and record user terminal access information submitted by AP300 in real time, including user MAC\IP\ authentication information, etc. When roaming handover occurs on the second or third layer, the terminal information can be synchronized in advance to ensure the fastest handover during roaming.

Network load balancing

RFS7000/WS5 100 supports network load balancing based on the number of users, network traffic and signal strength. When the number of users is too large or the network traffic is too large, RFS7000/WS5 100 will judge whether to balance part of the traffic load to other AP devices according to the private algorithm to ensure the overall optimization of the network.

Universal billing support

RFS7000/WS5 100 supports AAA protocol, which meets general billing requirements, but there is no billing requirement at present.

User grouping management and isolation

In this scheme, each AP300 supports at most 9 MAC addresses, 65,438+06 SSIDs and 65,438+06 Wlans. RFS 7000/WS 565,438+000 can manage 256/32 VLANs, and can also restrict user access based on WLAN, thus achieving the application effect of user isolation and unified packet management. Canceling the broadcast of ESSID and prohibiting data exchange between users will effectively improve security.

Unified maintenance management

The wireless switch management system can uniformly monitor, maintain, configure and manage the entire wireless network.

High security

User access authentication

The authentication methods supported by RFS7000/WS5 100 include 802. 1x, Radius, Web, certificate, etc. , and also supports standard billing and auditing information.

Wireless security encryption

Supported data security encryption methods: WEP\WPA\WPA2 and other standard encryption methods.

Wireless intrusion prevention mechanism

In the scheme design, we provide two sets of wireless intrusion prevention schemes.

One is to detect and protect wireless networks through the intrusion detection and protection functions of RFS7000 and AP300. The advantage of this is to save costs and realize basic guarantee.

Secondly, with the help of WIPS intrusion detection platform, comprehensive intrusion protection is carried out.

WIPS intrusion detection system is a comprehensive wireless intrusion prevention system composed of special sensors and special intrusion prevention control platform. Because of the independent sensor deployment, unlike the AP-centric mode, WIPS can protect the comprehensive wireless channel, and at the same time, it can carry out radio frequency attacks on illegal AP without affecting the use of wireless networks, thus ensuring network security. The dedicated intrusion prevention control platform can analyze the data streams uploaded by sensors independently and comprehensively, and compare these data with the real-time upgraded intrusion code base, thus fully ensuring the security of wireless networks.

WIPS wireless intrusion prevention system is also an optional content of this technical scheme, so please make your own decisions according to your needs.

reliability

Core redundancy

RFS7000/WS5 100 supports the cluster redundancy mode of N+ 1. In the scheme, we adopt a one-to-many redundant solution, and the backup machine can replace the faulty equipment at any time to ensure the availability and security of the system.

Stable attribute

MTBF & gt=5 years.

2.3 AP deployment method

In this hotel wireless network project, the parts that need wireless coverage are roughly divided into standard rooms, suites and public areas. In view of the outstanding characteristics of hotel rooms, such as high density, basically the same room layout, uneven signal receiving ability of wireless devices used by hotel guests, and random choice of internet access locations, Motorola specially designed the following wireless coverage scheme for hotel rooms:

2.3. 1 standard room section

The coverage of standard rooms is mainly to provide wireless Internet access, so on the floors of standard rooms, we guarantee that the data rate of rooms, walkways, bathrooms and other areas is not less than 100kbps, and the data rate of desks, sofas and bedside in rooms is not less than 2Mbps.

Kit part

The main living object of the suite is the VIP customers of the hotel, and we will achieve high-performance and high-speed coverage in the wireless coverage scheme for the suite. The main coverage areas of the suite are: living room and bedroom. The main wireless applications are wireless Internet access, wireless ordering, VOD wireless on demand and so on.

Therefore, in the suite part, especially for VOD set-top box equipment, it is necessary to achieve 54Mbps wireless coverage.

2.3.3 Coverage of public areas

Hotel public area can be basically divided into the following parts:

hall

The lobby is characterized by relatively empty space, high passenger flow density, strong personnel mobility and different places for customers to surf the Internet. In view of the above characteristics, we adopt the method of placing AP in different regions. Because Motorola wireless products support the function of automatic traffic sharing, as long as there are APS in all areas of the hall and the coverage signal is strong, there is no need to worry about connecting more clients at a certain point.

meeting room

Conference rooms in hotels are divided into small, medium and large conference rooms according to their size, but all of them have the characteristics of relatively simple structure, the same functions and dense Internet users. Therefore, different numbers of APS can be placed according to the size of the conference room.

corridor

Include safety exits, work area corridors and floor corridors.

Ballrooms and restaurants

There are relatively few users accessing the Internet through wireless network in banquet halls and restaurants, but employees' handheld terminal devices have high demand for the network, such as PDA of wireless ordering system. Wireless network will support PDA's mobile catering system.

elevator cage

With the popularity of Wi-Fi mobile phones and PDA, wireless network coverage in elevator car has become one of the necessary conditions. Considering that the elevator car has a strong shielding effect on wireless signals, and the elevator moves up and down most of the time, we use an AP access point at the top of the elevator patio and configure a high-gain directional antenna for the AP to cover the inside of the elevator car wirelessly.

underground garage

Depending on the demand.

Walking ladder

The main purpose of deploying wireless networks in escalators is to support WiFi VoIP applications.

Outside

The outdoor part depends on the specific needs.

3. Mobile applications in the service industry

3. 1 Why use wireless?

The service industry is facing more and more challenges, the biggest of which is how to improve customer loyalty. In today's competitive market, improving customer satisfaction is an important means to win back customers.

Any manager who leaves an unpleasant experience for customers will affect their loyalty. In restaurants or restaurants, if customers wait for a long time, their satisfaction will be affected. On the contrary, good service will greatly improve customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities for re-consumption. How to make employees do their best to meet the needs of customers? It is natural to hire a senior manager. In addition, it is also essential to have a correct technical means to strengthen management.

By establishing a safe and stable wireless network and using appropriate mobile devices, hotel employees can become a waiter who can really provide personal service to customers. From booking to welcoming guests, placing orders to delivering meals, the efficiency of employees will be greatly improved.

3.2 Move orders

Mobile order system with handheld terminal provides a new service means for restaurants. After the guests are seated, the waiter orders food for the guests on the dining table through the handheld terminal. In the process of ordering food, guests can also see the photos and ingredients of the food on the screen of the mobile terminal, and can also make personalized choices according to their own tastes.

Once the order is completed, the menu is transmitted to the kitchen through the wireless network. After receiving the menu, the kitchen can prepare meals immediately, reducing the waiting time of guests. The characteristics of wireless mobile orders are:

Improve the speed of ordering, ordering and serving;

Increase the turnover rate and improve the efficiency of the restaurant;

Cancel the paper menu and improve the dining hygiene;

Improve the efficiency of waiters and expand the scope of management;

Clear accounts, convenient and fast checkout.

3.3 Wireless check-in service

Through wireless network and handheld terminal, we can provide wireless check-in service for hotel guests. We only need to input the guest information on the handheld terminal, and then we can send the registration instruction to the hotel management system through the wireless network. The characteristics of wireless check-in are:

Guests don't have to queue up, so the check-in procedure is fast and convenient;

The guest's request is answered at the first time;

The check-out procedure of guests can be handled in the guest room, which improves the check-out speed.

3.3 Wireless Voice Service

VoIP can realize one-way or two-way communication between wireless network and WiFi mobile phone and handheld terminal. Using wireless network for voice communication can save the investment of intercom system or other mobile communication equipment for hotels. For employees, voice and data processing functions can be realized simultaneously on a handheld device.

3.4 Other mobile applications

Other wireless-based mobile applications include: room cleaning service, room delivery service, luggage service, etc. All these can be realized by handheld devices on the basis of wireless networks. It is also a way for hotels to improve service quality and customer satisfaction.
