If the candidate misses the thesis defense of the in-service graduate students of Zhejiang University and is regarded as voluntarily giving up the defense opportunity, then the score can only be invalidated and the candidate needs to take the exam again.

Candidates who are unable to participate in the thesis defense due to special circumstances can communicate with the college in advance and apply for an extension of the defense. The extension is subject to the regulations of the college.
