Reflection? This article recorded this matter in the Biography of Cao Zhi, and the content was very brief, only mentioning that he wrote "Ode to Tongquetai".
When you write, it's difficult to ask questions. You answer them. So you are different from Cao Cao in talent. You are the wing of Rockett and Yong Yang. How many princes are there? . Finally, Cao Pi decided to use it as a skill because of his willfulness and disorderly drinking, the imperial secretary said. As a result, Cao Pi decided it was. However, Cao Zhi eventually caused Cao Cao's great anger and his pet declined.
This is well known. But this rough clue outline is far from enough to explain the process, scope and truth of this internal struggle.
According to the records in the History of the Three Kingdoms and Pei's notes, the scope of this struggle is very large. Kong Gui, Jia Xu, Cui Yan, Mao Jie, Xing Qing, Cao Zhang, Yi Ding, Wang, Han Danchun, Wu Zhi, Wei Zhen, and Cao Zhen participated in this struggle 14. Among these fourteen figures, there are Kong Gui, Cao Zhang, Yang Xiu, Rockett, Ding Kuang, Han Danchun and Yang Jun. On a par with xelloss in quantity.
Of course, everyone's relationship with this struggle is not exactly the same. But among the seven people who favored Cao Zhi, Kong Gui, Yang Bi, Rockett, Ding Gan and Yang Jun were all killed by Cao Cao and Cao Pi because of this incident. Cao Zhang's sudden death may also be related to this matter. The sharpness of this struggle can also be seen from this.
This struggle began in the 16th year of Jian 'an (AD 2 1 1). Arguably, in the 22nd year of Jian 'an (AD 2 17), xelloss was officially established as a prince, but it was not until the 2nd year of Wei Mingdi Taihe (AD 228) that there was a rumor that Wei Mingdi died in Chang 'an, and ministers wanted to see Cao Zhi. More than ten years have passed, and the aftermath of the struggle is still rippling, indicating that the impact of this struggle is also very long.
What was the reason why Cao Zhi was once in favor?
Some people say that Cao Zhi is in favor not only because of his literary talent, but because Cao Cao once thought of him? What is the most important thing? . This statement has a reasonable side. Because according to Cao Cao's rich experience in political struggle, it is not only based on Cao Zhi's literary talent to decide whether to make him a prince, but Cao Zhi's literary talent was already revealed when he wrote "Ode to a Bronze Quetai" at the age of 19 (fifteen years of Jian 'an). If we only consider it in words, he will not regard Cao Pi as a general, implying that he is the heir.
However, there is really no reliable basis in the relevant materials of reflection. When it comes to the reason why Cao Zhi is in favor, almost all the articles are about him? Only? . Jia Xu Biography says yes? Only the famous Fang Sheng? , "Yan Chuan" said right? Talented love? , "Wei Zhi" volume 19 note cited "Canon slightly? You Yang Chuan also said yes? Love luck with talent? . Although ancient books? Only? This word sometimes refers to political ability, but on the whole, I'm afraid it still refers to? Literary talent? 、? Just learn? . ""2 1 Note Quoting Wei Zhi's Quotations:
When Wang Wei wanted to go out to war, the prince and Linnao Hou sent him to the roadside, praising his achievements. In a word, Zuo's family was an order and Wang Yiyue was grateful. The prince was greatly disappointed, and Wu Zhier said, The king can shed tears when he walks. ? And the prince wept and worshipped, and the king and his left and right sides wanted salt, so they all used rhetoric instead of sincerity.
This story also illustrates what Cao Zhi called? Only? , is it? Literary talent? 、? Eloquence? . This also proves that Wen Xin Diao Long? Cao Zhi mentioned in Cai Lu Pian? Smart and talented? , xelloss? Think carefully, slow down, and don't compete with the first sound? Different personalities.
Han Danchun is a great admirer of Cao Zhi, because Cao Zhi eloquently showed off his talent when he first met him. Xi, your novel? To ancient and modern times? Being an official? 、? Have the potential of armed soldiers? We talked about it all. But this is what you see from your mouth, which only shows that you are knowledgeable. Most of the ancient books in Jian 'an era were destroyed, and the seven sons of Jian 'an could do it? There's nothing left to learn. Of course, Cao Zhi can do it. Well, only Yang Chang and Ding Cheng mentioned his political talent positively. Yong Yang and Cao Zhi both call him that in their books.
Is there a holy and kind teaching? ,? Can you announce Zhao Yide and praise the great cause? .
Ding Xun said he was in front of Cao Cao
Kindness and filial piety are innate, but intelligence and wisdom are rare. As for the erudition and excellent articles, today's talented people and gentlemen in the world are willing to swim for it and die for it, regardless of seniority? .
This kind of praise among colleagues should be doubtful, what's more, Ding Kuang's praise is mostly about his literary talent. Therefore, if Cao Cao once believed that Cao Zhi had political talent, it must be the result of Yong Yang, Er Ding and others boasting about their support. For example, Wei Zhi said that he also had the idea of passing the throne to Cao Chong. At that time, Cao Chong was still very young, just because Cao Chong showed a little cleverness in his answer. Maybe it's because fathers tend to prefer sons.
So what is the relationship between Cao Zhi and Yang Bi?
Yong Yang was a great-grandfather, the son of Qiu at the end of the Han Dynasty, and a famous Yang Zhen. "Were" said:
From the earthquake to Biao, Qiu IV, Deye successively, and Yuan Shi were all famous people in Tokyo. ?
It can be said that after the demise of Yuan Shao's family, Yang Zhen's family was the leading aristocratic family at that time. As we all know, Cao Cao adopted the opposite policy towards the rich family at that time. At the same time, however, Cao Cao adopted measures of wooing, utilizing and compromising. The giants such as Xunshi in Yingchuan, Tongmashi and Cui Shi in Qinghe were all noble families at that time, and they were wooed and utilized by Cao Cao. So is the relationship between Cao Shi and Yang Biao. Cao Cao wanted to kill Yang Biao, but he got the chance through Kong Rong. Cao Cao finally released Yang Biao, because he couldn't bear to kill a Yang Biao when he was trying to consolidate his political power, so he gave in. Later, he even further wooed the Yang family by reusing Yong Yang as the prime minister's main book.
Both Cao Bu and Cao Zhi came to befriend Yong Yang, which shows that Yong Yang had great power and high status at that time.
Why did Yong Yang especially favor Cao Zhi among the two brothers?
"Dian lue" records:
After planting, I am arrogant and sparse, but after planting, I can't even kill myself. ?
Explain Cao Zhi's persistence in Yong Yang. Yang Biao's father, Yang Ci, opposed legalism. According to the Book of Later Han Dynasty, he wrote an article that despised the impartial judges handed down from ancient times. Is it Yang Biao? Less heirlooms? Yes, it can be seen that Yang Jia and Cao Cao are antagonistic, that is, they are also antagonistic to Cao Cao in political opinions. We don't know what Yong Yang's point of view is, but I'm afraid it may not be consistent with Cao Cao. Yong Yang himself has political ambitions, of course,' s know, but when he knows that he won't alienate him in the future, he will firmly hold him, and his intentions will be known.
Cao Zhi fell out of favor because he was good at opening Sima Gate. The essence of the Simamen incident is not a simple violation of the system, but through this incident, the conspiracy of Cao Zhi and Yong Yang was deeply exposed. The eighty-fourth note of the Book of Were Han quoted the Book of Continued Han as saying:
People have Bai Bian and Lin Chi Hou Cao Zhi drunk for * * * years, and came out from Sima Gate to slander Zhang Hou's great-grandfather in Yanling. He was furious, shut him down and killed him. ?
If Cao Zhi was the only one, Cao Cao might not be so angry. After that, Cao Cao said again? I don't even trust the prince? ,? Is it because the vassal family is forbidden? The materials in "Continued Han" are somewhat suspicious, because "Cao Zhi Ben Zhuan" is about Sima Men in the 12th year of Jian 'an, and "Dian lue" says that Yong Yang died in the 24th year, and the time is contradictory, which may be wrong, but this is an incident in which two people colluded in breaking the law. I'm afraid there is no doubt about this.
Judging from the fact that Cao Cao didn't dare to kill Yang Biao at first, Cao Cao made up his mind to kill Yong Yang after repeated thinking. At that time, he had many talented rich children, while Yang Biao was still alive and singing? Duke of Zhou vomited, and the world returned to the heart? Cao Cao must be very aware of the consequences of killing Yong Yang. But, in? About the change from beginning to end? Later, he finally killed this double-hearted Yong Yang who broke into the core of his regime by resolute means.
Cao Cao had to kill Yong Yang because he openly colluded with his son to make trouble with him. Cao Cao had to alienate Cao Zhi because he openly colluded with his own political opposition group. Killing Yong Yang cut off this kind of internal and external collusion, and he would rather kill someone first and then do patient rehabilitation and appeasement. This is certainly much wiser than hesitation and indulgence.
Cao Zhi has an unusual relationship with another giant, Qinghe Cui Shi.
Cui Yan used to be the teacher of Prince Xelloss, who was good at hunting. Cui Yan wrote an article warning him. Cao Pi said that he listened to his advice and respected him very much. So when Cao Cao secretly visited abroad, Cui Yan wrote that he advocated making Cao Pi a prince, not Cao Zhi. Cao Zhi is the son-in-law of Cui Yan's brother. He is not selfish. Cao Cao once praised him.
But Cui Yan himself is undoubtedly Cao Cao's political enemy. The Biography of Wei Zhi XII Mao Jie said that when Cui Yan and Mao Jie were jointly elected,
Those who use it honestly and use it righteously, although famous at that time, can't get in unless they do whatever they want. ?
This is obviously related to Cao Cao's previous quest for talent? Is meritorious service the only way? The principles were inconsistent, so he finally took the opportunity to kill Cui Yan. The suspicious place is the death of Cao Zhi's wife. "Wei Zhi" Volume 12 Cui Yan Biography quoted "Shiyu" as saying:
Embroidering his wife's clothes, Taizu went to the stage to look at it, in order to disobey orders and return to China to give his death. ?
Shi Yu did not specify the time of his wife's death, nor did Cao Zhi's works. Only Zi Jian records the twenty-two years of Jian 'an. This was probably after Cui Yan's death. Although Cao Cao is frugal, Cao Zhi's wife is a vassal's wife and will not die. This is obviously just an excuse. If the records in Zi Tong Zhi Jian are correct, it is the time when Cao Pi and Cao Zhi fell out of favor, which makes people suspect that Cao Zhi and Cui Yan may also have a mutual relationship.
Taken together, it is enough to show that Cao Zhi is indeed full of political ambitions, but in order to seize? Prince? Stand, do not hesitate to use the means of contacting and wooing political groups opposed to Cao Cao. Even if his desire for the crown prince is not realized, the nature of his ambition is indeed very obvious.
Of course, on the other hand, in order to stabilize his status as a prince, Xelloss also wooed Yong Yang and Cui Yan, and used up all his brains and wrists.
Why did Cao Pi finally win the trust of his father?
1. He is the eldest son. According to tradition, he has the qualification of legal heir. Stand firm for a long time, not for virtue? Traditional public opinion protects him, so even if his father once wanted to change Cao Zhi, it is difficult to shake this traditional precedent. Cui Yan, Mao Jie and others used this tradition as a reason to protect Cao Pi.
Second, he can win people's hearts, so most of the people who support him are prudent and have high expectations. Cui Yan, Mao Jie, Jia Xu, Wu Zhi and Wei Zhen are all like this. However, there are only a few people who are inclined to Cao Zhi. Cao Zhi is probably arrogant and talented to people and likes others to support him.
Xingqing is another important figure after Taizu and Taifu recommended by Cui Yan. Cao Zhi could have won him over, but he missed the chance. As a poet, Serina Liu should be congenial to Cao Zhi, not Cao Zhi. I'm afraid that his sharp-edged, arrogant and willful speech in front of Han Danchun can't be tolerated by anyone except those who love talents very much or flatter them.
Third, perhaps Cao Pi is still good at creating public opinion in his favor. When Cao Cao asked for the following opinions about abolishing legislation, Jia Xu and Mao Jie both quoted the realistic lessons of Yuan Shao and Liu Biao's son fighting for power and profit to warn Cao Cao not to repeat the mistakes of Yuan and Liu. Cao Pi's treason in Dian Lun also tells the story of Yuan Shao and Liu Biao's carelessness. Dian Lun was written when he was a prince, and one of them seems to have been written before the establishment of the prince.
The article "Treason" not only severely reprimanded Shen Pei and Cai Mao who alienated Yuan and Liu's father and son, but also praised Han Chen who insisted on establishing himself as the heir, and repeatedly accused Yuan Shao and Liu Biao of their mistakes. This article is very similar to what his father wrote when he wanted to set up Cao Zhi. The purpose is obviously to spread the lessons of abolishing the official script and create public opinion.
Fourth, can he do what Jia Xu taught him? Self-consolidation? :
Virtue, bow to the cause of ordinary people. Diligent day and night, not against children. ?
Wu Zhi taught him to see him off and cry, and he was able to do it, leaving an impression of loyalty and filial piety on Cao Cao, so he was able to finally gain Cao Cao's trust in him.
